Flat Stanley project

I am doing a project with the kids I work with at an after school program and I need some help. We are reading the book "Flat Stanley" which is about a boy who becomes flat after a bulletin board falls on him and then travels around in an envelope to various places. That is where you guys come in. We will be coloring "Flat Stanley"s and I want to mail them to different places so that people can take pictures of Stanley in interesting places. If you could take some pictures then write a letter about where Stanley went and mail it back to us so the kids can see where Stanley has been that would be great. If you are interested in helping please PM me your address. Hopefully I will be able to send some out this week.

I appologize if this is a stupid question but, is there any specific place we should take the picture? Like, put the picture of Stanley somewhere and then snap a picture and print it out and send it back in the envelope?

Is this somehow different than you talking pictures around your town?

It sounds interesting but I'm just a bit confused.

Take him anywhere you want that seems interesting to you. Put him in the shot and take the picture. Then send him, the picture(s), and the letter back with him. I will include SASEs with him when I mail them out.

Sweet - the town I live in is about 99.9% snowbirds/retirees, therefore, there is nothing BUT R&R here! :)

I guess a litter box is not the best place for flat stanley to visit.

But, my office is on the 21st floor, with a whole bunch of construction cranes working a few feet away, and the Hollywood sign in the distance...

Thanks everyone! YWIT, the kids would love to see anywhere, well maybe not the litter box, but a picture with the kitties would be cute. They love animals.

a friend of mine is doing "flat sarah" for her cousin sarah.
i'll do it. ther's nothing interesting here but i have alot of animals that can end up in the pictures. i can also get some pictures in fire trucks or in fire fighting gear.

Although I guess putting him in the boarded up windows of Bibb Mill could teach the children about downsizing, and economic depression.

I love the "flat stanley" project, I am sure you have plenty of we city dwellers already though.

Let's see..I can take Stanley to Busch Gardens, Lowery Park Zoo and possibly Disney.... I guess I'll just have to tag along :)

If you still need some help, I'd be more than happy! I did this years back for my little cousin. I took Flat Stanley on a tour of Madison Square Garden lmao. My cousin was the only one in his class with pictures of Flat Stanley in the NY Rangers Locker Room! lol
