Bill Clinton on Larry King:
"You know, they think that because of who I am and where my politic[al] base has traditionally been, they may want me to go sort of hustle up what Lawton Chiles used to call the 'cracker vote' there."
I'm sorry, is there supposed to be something outrageously "offensive" there?

yes, and? Is bill clinton not allowed to call someone a cracker?
And I believe that was a quote.
How many years have you lived in the South, Goth?
I know I'm supposed to be reading some outrage into this, but I have no idea what it is.

Goth, I'm sorry! You being a Republican you probably call them "rednecks."
You know, the "REDNECKS"
Bill Clinton is a Cracker, so he can say that word.
This ain't even grasping at straws anymore.
Or to crib from one of my favorite Southern belle friends, "Oh honey, that sh*t is so high only the dawgs can hear it".
As a displaced Southerner, I'd like to go on record as saying that Clinton (or Lawton Chiles, for that matter) is welcome to refer to me and mine as cracker, in the context in which he did so.
Moving on . . .

IT IS pretty funny- see what Goth Posts, then Google it and see the Right-wings Blogs talking about it. No wonder they believe in trickle down economics- it's trickle down policy. They throw it out there and he posts it here.
What I find really funny is the whole "He said a bad word" campaign that the Republicans are going for.
"You said Sarah Palin was a pig with lipstick! I'm SO telling!"

Yeah, they seem to keep forgetting that John McCain called his own wife a ****.
And called Janet Reno a man (although, really, who hasn't done that)

I think he's suffering extra hard today from Overpriced Cramped Apartment Malaise.
