I did the math. That's 22 years and 5 months. I hope he serves ALL of it,though I wish it were longer.
That's not how the law works. He will do 15 years and then they will evaluate him for parole if he's been a good inmate. The sentence is exactly what I thought it would be. He is a first time offender and it was not first degree.
My favorite part is that he can never, ever own a gun for the rest of his life.
The trial of the other three officers was originally scheduled for August, but has now been pushed forward to early 2022.

Really. I would rather he rot in jail longer than worry about gun ownership when/if he gets out.
If he gets out? I guess you should do a little bit more research regarding criminal justice/law and how many years one has to do in the state of Minnesota before they are released. He will get out of prison and have restrictions that he will hate forever. That was my point.

My point is that I would not be shocked if he dies in prison. I am sure they have pretty decent security watch on him but stuff does happen.
As I said in my earlier post, he most likely will be shanked by an inmate paid by a CO in cigarettes so either way, I think we will both be satisfied.
