I would like to see The Sybil Edmunds story come back to bite Hastert in the ass, but it looks like this will have to do.
"Funny how some think the story has run it's course. I had to laugh at that one. It's not even close to having run it's course. These people are going down and I, for one, can't wait."
Hey, if some more of the Republicans currently in power go down, great, I won't complain. However, there are other stories, like say, Darfur, that are getting pushed out of the spotlight by this story, though.
Are there more serious and more important stories than this one? Of course. During Monicagate, lots of awful things were happening in the world, but all people talked about was the "shame" of the president. It's politics and it's disgusting, but, as they say, "It's the only system we got!"
And as Randy Cohen, The Ethicist, said last night on CNN:
"If you can't delight in the downfall of a hypocrite, you have no zest for life."

And there were a lot more important stories than Natalie Holloway and Shondra what's her name. Those stories lasted for months. I would say that this story is more important than those two because Foley had an impact on our lives via his voting record.
Jimnysf, it's Chandra Levy. I lived in DC during that time. As tragic as the Natalie Holloway situation is/was, I still don't get the amount of coverage that story received.
"If you can't delight in the downfall of a hypocrite, you have no zest for life."
I'll try to enjoy it while it lasts, but it seems like whenever the Republicans have their proverbial head cut off, they just grow another one.
There must be a way to scorch the wound...
