For Datalounge Readers

Someone (and it's transparently obvious who from the content - especially the "drinking" part - and the hatred of me)posted this on Datalounge under my BWW username. A fellow BWWer came across it and was kind enough to send it to me. I just want any of you who saw it to know I didn't write it.

Rath

"I'm not sure if this counts as technically "theatre industry people," but I have come to completely hate a lot of the horrible queens who post at Broadwayworld.com, a community to which I am a contributor along with Television without pity.com. I'm a lonely middle aged lesbian who loves theater and who makes it her business to always point out "the other side of things." And let me tell you, those bitches at Broadwayworld.com are the other side of nice theater fans.

Many of them claim to be Broadway insiders, there's a guy from the original cast of Rent who posts there and a guy who co-wrote Hairspray.

I myself have been an assistant for Broadway producers, agents, managers and stars, and a lot of those people were NIGHTMARES. But nothing could prepare me for the horrors of Broadwayworld.com, where the members are scary high school fags, tweens, and pedophiles. They are mostly lackeys for like, the Weisslers and such. Dealing with them can be a real hassle. And people wonder why I drink."

I saw that and at first was a little thrown.... after re-reading and comparing to posts you've made here, I realized it must have been an impersonator.

Wow thats terrible. That person definetly has too much time on their hands.

re: For Datalounge Readers

Rath you are one of the most lovely people here. I would never believe for a second that you would write something like that.

Whoever wrote that is downright despicable!

re: For Datalounge Readers

Geez, there are some bitter people over there on Datalounge.

That whole "Theatre People We Hate" thread is full of bitterness and cynicism.

Had I seen it, I never would have believed it! And I'm sure from the whole ridiculous tone, that no one else would either, so don't fret.

re: For Datalounge Readers

Thanks, guys. I just didn't want anyone here to think I would actually air any BWW issues I may have on another site. And I certainly would never ever use any of those awful words to describe ANY of you.

Where is a computer virus when you really need it? That whole site needs fumigating!

I'm pretty sure it wasn't Matt_G, actually.

re: For Datalounge Readers

Seriously. I hate that site. I went over there once to check up on some tinhat activity (a group of LOTR fans who are convinced Dominic Monaghan and Elijah Wood are a gay couple being forced to stay in the closet by New Line's PR goons and Sean Astin) and all I found were nasty, bitter people. Better to stay away.

re: For Datalounge Readers

Well, shbrt.

Don't those pictures of the hobbits holding hands and kissing suggest more than platonic love?

And, from eyewitness accounts, Mr. Wood loves to stop by the Abbey in LA.

re: For Datalounge Readers

According to them, they are just all very close. I mean, I know plenty of straight guys who fool around and get all huggy as a joke. I know definitely that Billy and Sean are not gay, and seeing as both Elijah and Dom have stated that they love women, I'll take their word for it.

be careful, sean astin reads these boards and is all powerful. you don't want to upset him. he is after all the son of gomez addams and neely o'hara.

Didn't Rock Hudson state that he loved women, too?

...no, it wasn't ME, either. I've never been to datalounge.

re: for datalounge readers

That stinks, Rath. I myself have been personally attacked on Datalounge, under my real name, not PalJoey. Datalounge is totally anonymous, so it's easy to do, but it can be extremely upsetting. Personal attacks on the Internet are just ugly.

And Rath, I'm glad you said you DON'T think it was Matt. I like you both and I wouldn't want to think that was going on.

re: for datalounge readers

Yeah, papa. According to the tinhats, he is, after all, clinically insane and desperately lusting after Elijah.

Robbie, Dom isn't gay. I don't know and I don't care about Elijah, but for the time being I will take his word for it.

Addy, sweetie, of COURSE it wasn't you!

And I know it wasn't you, either, Dame. Don't worry.

re: for datalounge readers

So I just found Datalounge. It seems kind of boring. I don't like its structure.
