So Google has now told me!
I love kitchen utensils. Even ones that I know not the use of. My favorite is the ice cream scoop with the little clicky thing.

Emcee- the second one is like a soup/pasta ladle.
Spork: A spork is an unusual dining implement that is part spoon, part fork. Basically, it is a spoon with tines on the end, suitable for using as a fork, while still having a spoon portion. It is the utensil of choice for eating cole slaw, potato salad, and many other take-out foods.
Spork: trademark for a plastic eating utensil that has both tines and a bowl like a spoon
I have a pink spatula/spoon. It's good for getting all of the mashed potatoes out of a pot.
I always liked the melon scooper thing. I used to make cantaloupe and honeydew balls.
My brother likes using those as regular spoons.

These firecrackers are making me bizerk!
Tomorrow I'm gonna really have a heart attack
My neighborhood has been practicing for the past couple of days, like they do every year, so at random points during the day or night it sounds like cannons going off.
The 4th of July is the greatest time on my street though. I live next to the river so the neighbors all get together and put on this massive fireworks show where almost everyone in town (or the town across the river) goes to the park or drives their boat on the river to watch.
I'm going to watch Find Me Guilty now.
Today is our last day of fireworks. I was just getting used to them too.
I hear fireworks as well. I wasn't really paying attention, so at first I thought it was thunder.
Not only does my flute need to go in for repair, but my MP3 player has to go in as well. *headdesk*
Fireworks are illegal in Maryland, so I only can have the official ones tomorrow night. And I have at least 3 cops living in my neighborhood, so people rarely attempt to get away with it.
My face is breaking out too. Bleh.
OXO makes the best kitchen utensils ever. They even think up stuff you wouldn't even consider needing, but end up not being able to live without.
hehe, I love that. They're all so cool and clever!
Fireworks are supposed to be illegal in Georgia, too, but for some reason every store - even Target - has had them on display in the front door. I don't get it, but thankfully it hasn't been too annoying yet.
..and then there's Maude.
I wanna pet your kitty.

What'd I say??

This girl, who I haven't spoken to in over 10 months just IMed me. She told me about her whole entire boy break-up. She was typing a mile a minute and she barely even let me respond and I'm sure she didn't read what I wrote.
The whole IM had to be at least 5 pages and what I typed probably added up to a quarter of 1 page. I asked her what POSITIVE things have happened like what is she doing in college and she just continued on telling me her issues.
Finally I told her I had to go.
I blocked her. I feel bad but she can't IM once in a blue moon when she has issues. Especially when she isn't going to let me respond.
Did it ever occur to you to just let her rant about what she was upset about without attempting to force your advice on her? Sometimes people just need someone to listen.
SweetQ, maybe she needs someone to talk to, and felt, for whatever reason, that she coudl talk to you. Maybe at this point, she's not exactly looking for advice, and just wants to be able to get it all out. Don't take offense to the fact that she "wouldn't let you respond," because it really doesn't sound like she was purposefully cutting you off -- it sounds like she's having a really hard time and was just kind of... talking. People do that when they're upset, they ramble on faster than you can get a word in. Think about someone other than yourself, perhaps, and try to be a little understanding.

Ok- maybe I should have just let her vent but she was asking for advice. Maybe she read it, maybe she didn't but...I don't know.
Plus, maybe if we talked more often I'd be inclined to listen but I haven't heard from her in over 10 months. I was the last to IM her and 1 day she just stopped IMing me.
I'm not going to beg for her to talk to me but on the other hand, don't IM me almost 10 months later blurting out your problems.
Well, for what it's worth, I think you owe her an apology for blowing her off like that. You don't know why she's been MIA for all of that time. Be there for someone who needs you. It won't kill you to lend a listening ear, and someday, you might need them back. Karma's a bitch.
*shares popcorn with ww*
I want popcorn. I'm eating stale Cheetos.
