Thanks again, ikm.
Yay, my favorite radio station is playing one of my favorite songs! *does happy dance*
I'm watching Contact. What a damned good movie.
Is Jodie Foster in that?

I am watching the Disney Channel and it looks like they use voice overs because there lips are not matching the words... There lips are moving when no words are coming out and words are coming out when there lips are not moving.
Now they are showing What I've Been Looking For (a song from High School Musical) in Spanish

I can't stand voice overs. It's like when the audio and video would unsync in DivX - drives me crazy.
Anyways, today I helped with set construction. This is the first time I've gotten involved in ACT, my college's theatre group. It was a lot of fun... tiring, though. don't know how so many of you do it, and for every show.
Just wait until tech week!
She is, Mandi.

Em, how are the studies?
Um... they go, I guess... :P
One of my posts just got deleted.
I feel special. =]
I missed Desperate Housewives this week, and forgot to tape.
I'm really hungry.

I love deal or no deal?
Tech Week?! It is hell
Tech week is a week of full tech rehearsals leading up to opening night. So, you pretty much do the entire show once a day (sometimes twice!) all while trying to figure out where everything goes, and scrambling to fix things that eff up. It's...exhausting.

ah. sounds like it. I don't know what I'll be doing for that week - this is all new to me.

For professional theater you don't even get through half the show in a day. You start off at the top of the show the first day and make a little progress everyday. It should take around two weeks to get through the show.
During tech week it is the first time the scene is done on the stage, so they have to do it multiple times to get it right.
For example in the song Be A Lion in The Wiz revival at the playhouse, they first had to run through it on the stage, then with the correct lights, then it was the first time they used the moving platforms so that took a good hour teaching them how to use it, then they had to run through it on the platforms, then they had to run through just the platforms, then they finally put it all together. It took a total of 4 hours and 12 minutes, for a 2 minute song.

wow. well, for professional theatre, I'm sure the director (as well as the actors) demand perfection.
It can be fun though. I promise.
Umm. People are stupid.

It can be fun, it just depends what side of the table you are on. Or what side of the entrance to the stage...
