I think turning a thread about Fred Phelps into a discussion of various "abnoral" sexualities is just what he deserves. Well, really, he deserves a lot worse, but it's really the best we can do.

Oh, PUH-Leez...

To all of you concerned about Freedom of Speech being endangered. Our beloved prez has protest zones set up so that he doesn't have contend with opposing viewpoints when he speaks. These zones are set up blocks away from his venue.

Let Phelps and his clan protest these funerals....a couple of miles away....maybe in an abandoned mineshaft with little oxygen.

To be fair, the "Free Speech Zones" pre-date W. They go back to at least Reagan. Clinton didn't do away with them either.

namo, i demand that you abandon any pretense of defending freedom of speech and admit that you are simply a shill for the bush administration. why can't you just admit that no matter what the eventual consequences might be from this decision, the short term effects of making a few people feel better far outweigh any threat to the 1st amendment that eventually will manifest itself as a result of this decision? why not? because you're a shill for bushco, that's why!

I have to agree with Namo on this one. Treasure Island Media is like subliminal raunch, of which I'm not really a fan, subliminal or otherwise. For me, it's like experiencing a visual hangover. Watching a tweaked out mess perform with bug-eyed uncontrolled abandoned is something of a turn-off for me. I feel like I'm watching a prequel to a snuff film.

The thing is, you can't get much broker than Fred Phelps and fam anyway. Have you looked at their photos? When was the last time those folks have actually seen shampoo? Or toothpaste? Forget the whitening variety.

No monetary award would ever be collectible from them and it won't stop them. They do it for the hate.
