But only if you live in Florida and have a disabled child and take a survey.

Some school districts have no idea what to do with disabled children. If this helps make things better for the kids in the long run it's fine with me.

Florida is a mean Republican state.
I'm going to ask you nicely not to refer to disabled children as "retards".
My comment was posted in reaction to the recent incident where Sarah Palin attacked Rahm Emmanuel for using the word and then defended Rush Limbaugh. I in no way think it's acceptable and it wasn't meant to offend. But if that's not something that's going to be clear than I'll delete the comment :)

I just thought Erik was being satirical, because its okay if its satirical, right?
Free government ipods? That is a big step up from free government cheese.

If a parent with a disabled child needs this as an incentive to fill out a survey that will help the state best serve their kid's needs then there is a much larger problem that should be addressed.

My sister was lucky because she had two parents and while we weren't rich we weren't poor either. But she had classmates who came to school hungry, wore the same clothes several times a week. If something needed to be done that involved the parents it was my parents or the others like them who stepped up.
These people who have less are often the type who don't take surveys seriously. The feeling of "it's not going to help" is very prevalent.
Not saying it's right. Just that it's the way it is.
Be sure to read the update. Someone got their ass handed to them. lol
