What is your favorite installment in the Friday the 13th franchise?

Friday the 13th Part 2 gets my vote. Amy Steel and that ambiguous ending? Love.

I agree with part 2. Amy Steel putting on that sweater and the dreamy Tom McBride.

I like the remake where that hot guy tells that girl that she has perfect nipple placement.

Parts 1 and 2 are both great.

I have a soft spot for part X. Jason in space? Brilliant!

The worst by far though is part 8. It's called Jason Takes Manhattan and yet it was filmed on a sound stage in L.A. except for the one shot of B roll where he's standing in Times Square.

I agree with Part 2, especially when Amy Steel's character wonders if Jason's just some 'frightened retard' running around in the woods.

My list would be: 2, 1, 6, 4, 3, 7, X, remake, 8 .... 5.

My favorite is Part 4, The Final Chapter, followed closely by Part 3.

The worst one is Jason Goes To Hell. The evil spirit jumping from body to body with no Jason until the very end? NO! Part 5 is rough, but even a Jason imposter is better than no Jason at all. The bottom line is don't make a Friday the 13th movie without Jason.

Jason Takes Manhattan has that awesome death where Jason lets the kid punch him over and over again on the rooftop. Like he's saying, "Give me your best shot." The kid eventually becomes exhausted and then with one swift punch Jason decapitates the kid and his head rolls off the roof into a dumpster. Brilliant!
