In the end, GLAAD is really quite irrelevant. What really matters are people outside the gay community calling attention to this hateful comments and forcing others to think about the issue.

GLAAD spends 25% of the money donated to it on fund raising and salaries, including paying it's president over $200,000 a year. It has an annual budget of over $7M a year. I think, frankly, that money could be better spent than on media awards, endless press releases and media appearances.

Posted: 1/31/08 at 9:28amActually, the opposite applies. I should stay in more. I do get out. Too much. Which is why I don't know these television people. I watch very little television, and what I do watch is on Tivo. I guarantee you, I do not record Fox News or any other news television program.
