NPH next week? YIPPEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NPH next week
I love the flashback fashion.
Zack Weinstein, he went to Skidmore which is in my neck of the woods, was on tonight's episode is actually a paraplegic in real life:

Once again, Asian girl gets no time at all. She went from having a storyline to nothing.
Sondheim will bastardize his songs for any person for any reason. I'm surprised Rose's Turn hasn't been used to sell Tide.
Mercedes needed her own song, not duets.
The actor that plays Kurt should take on the Emcee in Cabaret. Hopefully he'll have a career after Glee. Maybe they will even make an AfterGlee show like they did AfterMASH.
The storylines seem to go in and out. There's not much consistency. That said, I still love this show.

According to my iTunes Mercedes' has had 5 solo songs & 2 duets.

"According to my iTunes Mercedes' has had 5 solo songs & 2 duets."
And according to your iTunes, how many has Rachel had?
Well maybe if Mercedes and the rest of them were pulling their weight in practice she would not be getting all the solos and laryngitis!

And they should have had Rachel sing "Broadway Baby." The laryngitis storyline was lame. And it was rather awkward that Artie is sitting there in a wheelchair and they bring in another actor to do a storyline that Artie could have done.
It is actually a big deal that they actually got an actor who is disabled for a role in the show. There was some criticism that the casting of Artie was not somebody who was actually paraplegic.
Back to next week's episode, so I am wondering if Rachel agrees to play her mother singing that maybe the reveal will be from the voice.
^I was totally thinking that too Goth. But I guess it wouldn't be the same because the guy was the best, like Rachel is. I did find it awkward too when they were talking about paraplegics, & Artie like right there. I'm sad that he doesn't get lines, like ever. Next week, he gets two songs though! Tina, what the heck? She barely gets any lines or solos. She has one song. one.
I though the paraplegic story was sweet. I love it when Rachel learns a lesson/has an humbling experience. Mercedes & Puck sounded great together! Kurt & his dad are precious.
Can't wait for some NPH next week!
ETA: I was listening to Maybe This Time the other day, & I was totally thinking that Lea should sing some more Broadway songs, including Broadway Baby. Also, but the looks of the promo for next week, Idina is Rachel's mom. Just sayin'.

Bring back Becky the cheerleader and give her some more screen time.
And I say make Rachel's mom Betty Buckley. She could pass Sue in the hall and make some funny gym teacher comment.
And what kind of school just lets adults walk in? Kurt's dad can just roam the halls without anyone saying anything?

What a bizarre episode.
The lyric change in "Rose's Turn" where he said "Miss Rachel Berry" was so out of place and had nothing to do with why he was singing the song, (which, for me, was his issues with his father.)
Another strange thing was right towards the end of "The Boy is Mine", where Mercedes and Santana were singing but their voices weren't there. It was obviously just the background singers, no vocals from either girl. It abruptly and awkwardly switched to the final "The boy is mine" with their voices. Doesn't anyone watch the finished product before broadcast??

Lazy, lazy, lazy writers.
"Just look what you've done! Mister Finn Hudson!!!"
The camera work on The Boy is Mine was giving me a headache! Too much spinning & moving around, if you ask me.

Kurt had the line about having a Whitney Houston song in his back pocket. They should have gone ahead and had him sing "The Greatest Love of All". The bastardized Rose's Turn was silly and out of place.
And it's not the kind of song you can just plug any name into and have it make sense. lol

And there's no money for the Glee club, but the school has enough money to hang up a blinking sign that says "Kurt"?

I'm starting a petition to get the producers to have Puck sing "Mack the Knife".

Hmm... a leading character has more songs than a supporting one? Shocker...

People are getting tired of Miss Rachel Berry singing five songs in every show. They need to focus more on making it an ensemble show.
I miss Jesse. Why did he have to be on spring break with vocal adrenline?
And, not saying they should, but I wouldn't be surprised if, when Rachel and Jesse hook up, they sing The Guilty Ones or something.

There wasn't enough Sue in this episode!

I know I am. She's wonderful and vibrant, but it's like owning one CD or having 10,000 songs in your iPod, only they're all by the same band.
Tonight was better with the variety.
I was definitely glad for the variety, but the show felt very formulated in terms of "what plot can was make for song x and characters a and b"?
That's what ALL the episodes have been about. There has been next to nothing thatt advances an actual PLOT in weeks.
