I'm still trying to figure out where anything of interest was in that article. Is "rant" a new synonym for "reply"? Do all her innocuous Twitter posts deserve articles? I don't get it.

That's another thing: "rant" is one of those words that's perilously close to losing any meaning. Like "bullying" and "hater."

It's more how I feel about Gaga's insincerity and how she exploited the gay rights movement while claiming to be our biggest ally. It's a personal thing. Has nothing to do with her actual talent.

How has Lady Gaga exploited the gay rights movement? You make it sound as if she has somehow caused harm to the movement?
I'm not a giant fan of hers but I never got that criticism. I facilitate a GSA at the school where I work and a lot of the kids here would say the same thing broadway86 said.

Liza wouldn't it have been easier and more sincere to speak from YOUR heart and tell us how YOU feel and why? instead of searching and posting links of other peoples opinions. You would seem more sincere that way and less just stirri g the pot and bashing.

Patience, Iago. Gaga swapped her proposed second single with another at the last minute, so that accounts for the lagging. It certainly isn't due to the quality of the song itself, so...

But just gazing over the top 10, I see a title like "What Does the Fox Say?" and am reminded of just how little it matters.

That Examiner article is really embarrassing. She starts off by saying "Everybody knows that Lady Gaga exploits the gay community and treats them like her little marketing puppies..."

What kind of journalist says "everybody knows"? Who is everybody? I don't care one or another about Lady Gaga but I certainly DON'T know that she exploits gay marketing puppies.

Never cite stupid people as your reason for holding a position. It's rarely persuasive.

Oh man, I remember that! I didn't even KNOW she'd sung the anthem. I just remember being in Provincetown, and the entire town suddenly fell silent. We all stood there, mortified, and we didn't know why.

lol That is true. But there's no concrete reason to doubt her specifically. To my understanding, she doesn't benefit at all from explaining it when asked.
