Obama pulls ahead by almost 20 points!

newsweek's is a joke. registered voters only? leaners included? yeah, that doesn't help bammy at all. plus their internal numbers don't come even close to matching up. basically a hit piece.

"One of the more devastating results for Clinton was that a majority of all registered voters now see her as dishonest and untrustworthy. According to the poll, just four in 10 (41 percent) registered voters view the New York senator as honest and trustworthy, while 51 percent think the opposite. This compares with solid majorities of voters who see Obama and McCain as honest and trustworthy (both polled 61 percent)."
don't worry, joe. by the time we're done with bammy he'll be in the low 30's on trustworthinesss.
bammy - 4/17/08 - "i have never said that i don't wear flag pins or refuse to wear flag pins."
bammy - 10/4/07 - "i decided i won't wear that pin on my chest."
and yeah, video of him saying both. i doubt we'll see that in an ad this fall.

Well papa as long as you take him to task on the FLAG PIN ISSUE i think you guys will be OK. I hate a guy who weasels about WEARING THE FLAG PIN!
I find myself agreeing with Papa more and more these days.
joe, are you telling me the ad won't work? please. like the ad of kerry on windsurfing and flipping back and forth didn't work? low-tech and cheesy, but it helped define him for the general electorate.
your boy's got a more than a little john kerry/joe biden in him. can't stop talking once he gets going because he's more than a little in love with his own voice and his confidence in his own ability to use it to sway anyone to his side.
Over the last four days the Gallup tracking poll has charted Obama's lead declining from 11 to 8 to 7 to 3.
Now we just need Hillary's people to drop that video of Obama admitting that he's a secret Afro Muslim Manchurian candidate who hates gay people and only eats organic food from five star restaurants and then all the super delegates will have their super minds changed and your girl Hil's in like Flynn!
These national election polls are fairly meaningless yet seeing how most of the nation has already voted. The numbers will fluctuate again. P.S., it's not a good thing if the likely Democratic nominee is torn down in advance of even the general election.
maybe not for the democrats. but for the country? sure it is.
Just as Rudy ran for President of 9/11, Clinton wants to be President of Pennsylvannia, and by about 9:30 Tuesday night, clearly will be. It's understood. Victory will be hers. We get it.
The next day we get back to figuring out how the Democratic party can possibly still take the White House, with either of our candidates. Read Bob Herbert today. Neither candidate is tougher and better ready to run against McCain. One is a perceived as a ruthless Republican Lite with the highest negative possible, 54%, the other is now a neo-Marxist wimp.
No wonder McCain hasn't raised as much money. He doesn't need it. The Democratic expenditure will put him in the White House.
Well, look what happened yesterday. Hillary took the lead again.
especially with democratic pacs putting out ads of young people making fun of mccain's age. that'll help in the general when the usual majority of voters is over 45. especially among seniors
when will banmy denounce this ad since howard dean said specifically that they would not attack mccain's age? not that i mind because it's a really stupid strategy that's going to antagonize a lot more voters that it appeals to.
*edit* oh and since they pointedly used his middle name you can be sure we'll be hearing the words barack hussein obama repeatedly. nicely done, americans coming together, nicely done.
younger than mccain
Papa, it will help McCain, not hurt. The more that is made of his age, the more boomers d'un age certain will rally behind him. Seriously. The assalts of Letterman et als are puerile frat boy stuff that resonate the length off the laugh. Too many people who want to believe their own best years might still be ahead of them consciously or subconsciously 'root' for a 71 year old having his American dream come true. He won't be 82, just 72. I mean, the Beattles and the Stone are in their 60s, after all. Watch this age this turn into a plus.
oh i know, i just hope the gop has it saved to use in an ad in the fall.

Yeah - cause they're known for letting the little things slip by.

Does John McCain wear a flag pin? I know Hilary Clinton doesn't. We've just got to get these candidates all on the record regarding the crucial flag pin issue.
I heard Hillary has a flag tatoo.

Yeah, but I'm not sure it's the US flag, Auggie
Everything will be all right once Mommy is the nominee.

PJ - if it happens, and it makes you happy, good for you. I haven't liked her for years, and have seen nothing to change my mind at all. And neither have most of the people I know - who also haven't liked her for years.
And yes, I know that means we're just not smart/wise/aware enough. Whatever.
If it shuts people up carrying on about her, I say nominate her. It's not going to matter anyway.
I do look forward to the coverage Tuesday night. Who can deny the drama? Does anyone doubt that the Clinton party in Philly will be the blow-out of all blow-outs? Whether she wins with 5 points or 15 (my guess is closer to the latter), this will be the Come Back Kid XIV. Balloons, confetti, bunting, indoor fireworks. Hillary in somethin akin to Helen Lawson's famous sparkling pant suit. You heard it here first. I see sequins.
Don't forget endless encores "Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow"!
We'll be partying like it's 1992!
