Don't knoe of Feinstein is kidding...
A "Lipstick Lesbian" is a very glamorous, feminine lesbian. Latkes are potato pancakes. I imagine a "latke lesbian" would be more of a Jewish mother type.
Park Slope is a nicer section of Brooklyn.
North Hampton is a town in Massachusetts with a large lesbian community.

--Park Slope has the highest concentration of single women in NYC. One of its nicknames is 'Dyke Slope'.
--Northampton, Mass (north of Springfield and home of Smith College); It is estimated that 1 of every 7 women in and around the town are gay.
--Cherry Grove in season.
--Don't rule out sports groups. If you're a novice, well somebody's got to coach you, right? I coach in one and new people are always welcome at any level of ability.
--The Big Apple Ranch, the Saturday night Country and Western dance club on West 19th Street is a very non-scene type of place where people go to dance and have fun without all the pressure of a bar.
--I have learned in my travelling that if you want to find the local gay and particularly lesbian community, even in small towns, go to the local health food store.

well in the words of boy george, i'll have them all! and i just found out what a "latke" is on the jewish food thread. of course, i'm pronouncing it like andy kauffman's character on taxi.
