I just spoke to our beloved.

He's not having the best time of it, but he sounded more relaxed and perkier than he's been. He's going to have a couple of procedures to address the aforementioned abcess and blood clotting.

I told him exactly what I posted here and said, "Don't worry about anything else but getting better. Everything else can wait. NOTHING is more important than your healing."

I then told him about how my son wanted to stay on the rollercoaster and just keep riding it all day at Disneyland. When I told him that we had to get off, let other people have their turn and get back on line, he said, "I don't want to wait!" I then explained, with that "wise parental quality" in my voice that it was important to be patient because he would have to be patient many, many times in his adult life. His response: "Patience is stupid!!!"

Norn laughed and then said, "I probably shouldn't be laughing this hard." But it was really good to hear him so happy.

I also asked Norn if he wanted me to keep you all updated and he said, "Yes," so I will do this as regularly as possible.
