Girls at a bachelor party?

Posted: 7/18/08 at 5:07pmYour overreaction to this situation doesn't really make sense. I think there's something you're not telling us. Are these girls "real" girls? And didn't we discover through your "deer incident" that you were on the down low anyway? or was it gay-for-pay?

Geezus gawd. Jason, is your theme song "The Song Never Ends" by any chance?
Many of us have made sincere efforts to help you and all you seem to want to do is whine and reject every sensible solution.
So here is my final bit of advice:
If you go to the party, stay out of the path of any girl named "Bambi."

I don't know what's happening, too lazy to read back.
But I'd totally come to a Bachelor Party! (And no, I won't be one of the strippers)

I wouldn't if I were you, shira. All that'll happen is jason will moan at you and us and everybody about it.

Going out in a situation where Caitie could have been invited and was ignored while I go out with other girls -- that's an entirely different story.
The other engaged attendee's fiancé wasn't invited either, so Caitie wasn't the only one "ignored". You're not fighting on behalf of the other couple or the groom, you're only concerned about yourself and Caitie's discomfort, which is incredibly ridiculous and selfish. In case you've forgotten, this party is about your best friend, not about you and definitely not about Caitie, so either suck it up and deal with the circumstances, or don't go and stop posting excuses for the many suggestions given.
Maybe I'm old fashioned in that way, but I don't think girls SHOULD be along.
That doesn't make you old-fashioned, that makes you sexist. At least the four invited women deserve to be at the party more than Caitie.

Damn WAT I wish I was there! Did Taylor strip?
Weren't bachelor parties invented to provoke a confrontation between the bride & groom allowing them to cancel the wedding? I see no other cause for them.

Ended up that my other friend who was going agreed with me, and Caitie was invited along with the other girls who were actually pretty offended by the brother's initial email and implications. They're friends with the groom, though, so came along. Turns out the brother is more of an a**hole than we thought and was just trying to use the bachelor party as his own excuse to try to get some -- he completely failed, striking out with all three girls in spectacular fashion (Caite being unavailable made her practically invisible to him, which she didn't mind in the least). It at least made for some entertaining viewing for us and my other friend. However, because the brother didn't have HIS brother's best wishes in mind (as I knew all along), I'm not so sure the man of the hour enjoyed it as much as he should have.
At least we got some good laughs out of making the groom, a die-hard Red Sox fan, walk around all night in Yankee gear. He got more than a few catcalls and comments - but the best one was when a guy passed us on the street and said, like in a conspiracy, "Yankees rule." That was almost too much for him to take.

Posted: 7/21/08 at 2:40pmTaylor Hicks was just at the club partying and drinking. Tons of people were going up to him and talking to him...he seemed really friendly (or maybe he was just drunk). My friend had a tiny section roped off just for us...open bar!...and Taylor was directly in front of our group. I felt so important!
