Wow! I just saw this film and it completely blew me away! Definetly one of the most powerful films I have seen in a theater in a LONG time! Superb performances, writing, and directing. I highly reccommend this film! A+!

i've heard it's one of the best of the year thus far.
Without question, the best I've seen this year. GO see this movie...it is quite incredible.

Definetly the best I've seen. A sobering look at how racism pollutes our culture. I was riveted from start to the final fade out.

I'd see it again, but that might take away from the from time I saw it... I don't want to ruin a good thing. Cheadle was, again, believable and definetly put all the effort he could into the role, as usual.
On a negative note, did anyone else just want to tell Brendon to shut up?
I'm neutral on Fraser's character, because I thought it was kind of under-developed. Cheadle was amazing once again. Hotel Rwanda followed by this. The guy is my new favorite film actor. I was surprised by the wonderful turn from Matt Dillon. And Ludacris too! Why is that so many rappers turn out to be amazing actors?
I'm so afraid this movie will be forgotten come Oscar time. I wish it hadn't been released so early.

I'm the same way about the Oscars.
What other rapper is a fabulous actor? Ludacris did a much better job than I expected.
with Cheadle, first Boogie Nights and now Crash. He's definetly a diverse actor.
I really like Bullock's performance too! Who would have guessed that in one season she'd be playing goofy detective gracie hart, and a racist suburban housewife! She's great!

Ok... rappers that gave good acting performances... now I have to think:
-Ludacris in "Crash"
-Queen Latifah in "Chicago"
-Eminem in "8 Mile" (Please nobody crucify me for that)
-(I haven't seen it but I heard...) Andre 3000 in "Be Cool" (...is supposed to be quite good)
-Will Smith in "Ali"
-Jamie Foxx in "Collateral: and "Ray"
... this is hard. I know I've seen more, but I don't always know the names of the rappers. For some reason it seems like every rapper I see in a film gives a strong performance.

Foxx as a rapper. I must've missed that... And I forgot about Latifah, yeah, she was great in Chicago, but then that gets cut in half because of Beauty Shop...
"Foxx as a rapper. I must've missed that..."
-I do believe he tried... although he's probably known more for his stand-up comedy.
In the future, if I post anymore incoherent thoughts like, "Why is that so many rappers turn out to be amazing actors?" please disregard them and note that the time is 1:30 in the morning. lol.... I need sleep now I think.
Jamie Foxx was never a rapper

If you can give me the novel my signature's from I'll give you a cookie, TheActr. I don't have the novel in front of me, so it's probably not correct, but you get the gist.
... oh this sucks... I know I've read that before! Not fair... I want a cookie. I'm going to be trying to figure this out for days.

Then he's a copy cat.
It's from A Density of Souls, as Stephen is lying in bed with his half brother Jordan, but neither one of them know it.

Great, great movie. So much better than some of the commercial fluff that these studios have been putting out.

I loved how all the characters are woven together. It's so complex, yet so simple.
haha.. I love the end, when teh chinese woman calls the white woman a fat pig.

Matt Dillon, Thandie Newton and Terrence Howard all deserve Oscar nominations.
The only person I felt wasn't cast perfectly was Brendan Fraser. His goofy voice makes it hard for me to take him seriously. I kept hearing George of the Jungle.
Just got home from seeing CRASH.
WOW!
Thanks for recommendation Millie Lammoreaux. :)
Just saw it last night. I liked it, but the only problem for me (and it was a pretty big problem) was that Haggis felt the need to hit me over the head every ten minutes. Very rarely did the character's actions speak for themselves.
However, the film's second half was very strong, and Terrence Howard, Matt Dillon, Thandie Newton, and Sandra Bullock all deserve Oscar consideration.
