Jane's speech was awesome. I'm not surprised and love her on the show but I would have been happy if Sofia won also.

I love Jane Lynch's shout-out to Ian Brennan. His profile in the NY Times was great.

I love that nearly all of The Avengers cast is there (Hemsworth, Downey, Evans, Renner, ScarJo, Ruffalo as Hulk), including Hayley Atwell and Natalie Portman who are the female leads in the Thor and Captain America movies.

I haven't seen The Fighter but I am rooting for Melissa Leo. I love great comeback stories. She got fired from Homicide and really struggled to get back on her feet. Now she is winning these awards and starring in a TV series.

There was way too many clips in that montage I would have cut out (or cut down to size eg his over the top Max Cady) and put far better DeNiro performances in their places. I guess I should just be glad there was no sight of a Meet The Parents/(Little) Fockers clip.

...and the 'joke' about giving Damon his own award 'if he's still alive' was kind of a slam - implying that it would be many, many years...

DeNiro really needs to lay off the jokes.
