I'm not watching the telecast because literally nothing sounds more boring to me, but just popping in to say I'm thrilled for Rachel Brosnahan! She deserves every accolade she gets for Maisel.
Also, I predict that Foy and Metcalf will have better days at the Emmys and Oscars this year (respectively, of course).

For what it's worth, Claire Foy already has a Golden Globe for her performance in The Crown's first season, and the HFPA rarely repeats winners. I'd be outraged if she hadn't already won a Globe for her work on Crown, but since she already has one on her mantle, I'm not too let down.

I’ve never been regular viewer of his late night show, but I was massive fan of him on SNL. I thought he nailed the monologue. I love his comedy.

You said it. You continue to try to seperate your views and your choices. You claim to support many performers and artworks yet you voted for someone who has tried time and time again to dismantle those things you claim you love. Love Hamilton? Then why support someone who sympathizes with white Supremisists? Love Mrs Maisel? Then why support a proven harasser of women? You support the very things that you essentially voted to have silenced. Good job.

Your hypocrisy shines through time and time again. You can’t even explain why you feel the way you do. And you don’t see why so many have a problem with not only you supporting Trump, but you claiming to be a lover of things that your choice is aiming to destroy.
And you don’t seem to get why a board full of LGBT people and their allies, those that Trump has continuously tried to marginalize and silence, has a problem with you.
Also, you don’t run this board. You may have semi disappaeared from this side, but you continue to try to run the on topic board and police it.
You’re not the victim here. The victims are the people you voted to have their rights stripped away.
Maybe you should think of why any post of yours causes many on this board to question the intent and meaning of your words.

The appeal for me is a) Frances McDormand and b) Woody Harrelson. I will watch McDormand work in ANYTHING. I would like to see Harrelson work more often, but I think(?) that's his choice. I am always amazed by both actors' work.
In regards to the Golden Globes, it seemed clear to me that this year's theme was, "Time's Up", and everyone stuck to the theme, including coming in costume, and doling out awards to fit the theme.
I don't know that Three Billboards... or Big Little Lies truly deserved all the top awards they received, but granting them the honors certainly emphasized this year's theme.
