OK -- what do you think some of life's greatest ironies are....
Washington National Airport was renamed for the president who fired all of the country's air traffic controllers

I got one: Moving out of New York to Colorado to get away from the violence, and on the 10th anniversary of the move the Columbine shooting happens.
True story.

Columbine happened in 1998.
There is no way anyone could have made that thought-fuled move, unless it is only just being planned now for 2008.

Yes Nugget Monkey, you're right, it is an off topic board open to any discussin but, surpringly to some, I'm sure, there is more to discuss than sex, gossip the hottest BW actor.
There is one of the ironies of this board. With so much to talk about, the majority of people here seem so limited.
I think this topic could be very inetresting and I need to think about some of life's ironies. Thank you, KMF, for adding something interesting to ponder.

Posted: 8/16/04 at 4:39pmTrust me, NuggetMonkeys, the Columbine shooting happened in 1999. And to clarify, we left New York on April 20, 1989 and ten years later...well, you know the rest.

10th anniversary of the move...not Columbine.
I have one I was discussing w/ someone at lunch. But it really could offend.
It just has to do w/ Andrew Sullivan, who he supports, and an ironic turn in his life.

Posted: 8/16/04 at 4:40pmnow what's happened to Andrew Sullivan? He was so sexy. But i saw him recently in Provincetown, and he looked, well, not good. I hope he's not ill.

Posted: 8/16/04 at 4:45pmThat sounds interesting, Robbie and I would love to know what you are referring to but, I trust your judgement if you feel it may offend others.

I forgot where I read this, but it is so true:
"Love is one of life's greatest ironies. It opens your eyes to wonderful things while blinding you completely"
The opposite of creation isn't war, it's stagnation.

The opposite of creation isn't war, it's stagnation.
