I may be struck down, but I love the soundtrack for The Devil Wears Prada. It's so chic.
I also love Moulin Rouge, of course, Pride and Prejudice (for my classical fix), and Pirates of the Caribbean (it doesn't get much more intense than that.)

Posted: 2/4/07 at 1:22amI'm more into the instrumental stuff too. I love everything that Thomas Newman has ever done. Especially the scores for Angels in America, The Shawshank Redemption, Road to Perdition and American Beauty. I also really like the scores for Requiem for a Dream and Donnie Darko.

How can anyone not love that soundtrack:
"I'm gonna make it to Heaven, light up the sky like a flame"
"I wanna go crazy like the dogs in the yard"
"Make believin' is hard alone, out here on my own"
The Ralph & Monty Dressing Room piano
"And I look back on Venus, I look back on Mars, and I burn with the fire of ten million stars"
