I may be struck down, but I love the soundtrack for The Devil Wears Prada. It's so chic. re: Great Movie Soundtracks

I also love Moulin Rouge, of course, Pride and Prejudice (for my classical fix), and Pirates of the Caribbean (it doesn't get much more intense than that.)

Waiting to Exhale has an amazing soundtrack written almost completely by Babyface. The Academy completely ignored it, but not soon after gave an Award to Three Six Mafia.

I'm more into the instrumental stuff too. I love everything that Thomas Newman has ever done. Especially the scores for Angels in America, The Shawshank Redemption, Road to Perdition and American Beauty. I also really like the scores for Requiem for a Dream and Donnie Darko.

I love the I Am Sam soundtrack. Really nice covers of a bunch of different Beatles songs.

"It's great that you can listen and be a shoulder to someone, but what about when someone doesn't need a shoulder? What if they need the arms or something like that? You can't just sit there and put everybody's lives ahead of yours and think that counts as love. You just can't. You have to do things."

"Gotham, I forgot all about Fame. I loved that soundtrack! Irene Cara was the best."

How can anyone not love that soundtrack:

"I'm gonna make it to Heaven, light up the sky like a flame"

"I wanna go crazy like the dogs in the yard"

"Make believin' is hard alone, out here on my own"

The Ralph & Monty Dressing Room piano

"And I look back on Venus, I look back on Mars, and I burn with the fire of ten million stars"
