Aww, what an amazing/adorable story!
I know the feeling. I sang and danced on the Hairspray stage; it's quite important :-P
But wait a minute...Greg's never kneeled down to my level...
He probably can't get down that far.....
oooooo. Mamie!
malki, that is awesome! Man, wish I was there. To have Norbert hear me sing (no matter how bad I am), that is so cool!
Mamie's a meaniepoop.
haha.
Aw, Malki. That is one of the cutest stories I've heard. I'm glad you and your kids had a great time seeing Greg.
Miss Panda - the only person on earth who thinks you're remarkably short - is you! And until and unless you stop making comments about it, I'll feel free to make little jests.
Trust me sweetie - you're not all that short!!!!
Now - no more about that. This is the Greg Jbara ONLY discussion thread. If you aren't here to talk about Greg, then go to the other thread!
Greg has recently shown (for the 1 millionth time) just how deep his kindness and generosity goes when a mutual friend came to him with a need to raise some funds for a wonderful organization that educates children so they can protect themselves against abuse. This organization (MetroCap) will be auctioning off a lot of objects - primarily theatre related - on ebay. I'm working with her to get the items listed there. When you have a chance, take a look at the auction items posted by MetroCap. Where does Greg come in? He has offered to get the winning bidder 2 tickets for the performance of their choice, in the orchestra section, followed by one of his special, personally conducted backstage tours.
We're just starting to get the items listed, but please take a look if you have a chance.
(by the way - did I mention that I just LOVE Greg Jbara?)

Miss Mamie, I have a weird thing where I encourage people to make fun of me. Your comment cracked me up. I thought being called a meaniepoop would crack you up, as I doubt you've ever been called that before. Carry on with your "jests." I love them.
Okay, back to Greg. Greg is very tall. On his chatterbox he said he often got lead roles in High School because he was very tall. He mistakenly thought he played Nicely Nicely Johnson in Guys and Dolls in 10th grade, till he realized he was Benny Southstreet, and did not have to sing the incredible high note in "Sit Down, You're Rocking the Boat." Seth called him a liar.
liar? greg? no!
mamie, can't wait to see how much the tickets go for. haha. but go greg! isn;t he the best?
Thanks Traci! It's always a good time when you visit with Greg.
Dre, I asked Greg on Wed. night if Norbert liked Yoni's show but he hadn't had a chance to ask him since Norbert was out for the evening performance. I haven't asked him again.
Mamie, that is so great!! And so Greg! He is the best. I LOVE Greg Jbara too!
Malki that story makes me so happy, and really sad I'll never meet Greg again. He really has a golden heart. I wonder why people are mean...when Greg makes it seem so easy to be kind.
Oh, Meghan, don't be sad. Keep the memory of your time with Greg in your heart and whenever you are down just think about how sweet he is and how much fun you had. And never say never. I know he isn't planning on leaving LA once he gets back there but that doesn't mean you will never see him again. You are right though, he does have a golden heart and should be the poster boy for how to be a wonderful human being. I am twice your age (at least) and I have never met anyone like him. I will cherish the memories of all the time he spent with me and my family forever.

hmmmm.....
I have it on good authority that the judge is biased.
hahaha. nice mamie!
so excited! have to watch that.
Meghan (and Malki) you are so true about how Greg makes it seem real easy to be kind. and seriously, he is like that to everyone! how is that possible, I'll never know. But now we have a living example that it can be done.

No matter how long or short his appearance is in that movie, I'm guaranteed to point him out to any and all friends that are there with me. And possibly some people who AREN'T my friends!
me too!!!!
Meh...I saw a preview for it and got excited thinking that was Greg's movie, but...it really doesn't seem like a movie I want to watch. I watch and liked United 93, but seeing all that stuff in the center...i don't know.
Yahoo! I know he's done a bodacious amount of work on that house, but I was sure it wasn't taking up ALL his time.
(I hope he has a wonderful time in Connecticut this week!)
aww, thanks Barb!! Going to check that out now!! I'm so glad I decided to look all the way down the page on the off-topic board!
