so, opening night of Les Mis here in PA (at the local high school.) It went pretty well for a high school that doesn't have a theatre class and also having the lights getting messed up and having to be redone the morning before opening night.
how's life with you guys?

Mamie - are you okay by now?
my sis was ill, she was caughing the whole week...it was annoying really
poor dear, and I was using everything I could not to be ill because I work a lot - vitamins, mineral water, relaxation, sports. thank god, it seems working - knock, knock.
But I am happy to report you that spring is really here! I have changed my wintercoat!
Man you have to be desperate when you resort to sports.

Hello all! Long time since I treaded these waters.
Hi Annie.
I am feeling better - but not 100% yet. I went to the doc this morning and I have to have a CT scan done. There's something still going on in my lungs and the scan will tell them more.
We're FINALLY having gorgeous weather outside! It's a little windy but it's warm and sunny and beautiful. It sure took its good ol' time about getting here!
hehe, Jamie got into the Mason Gross School of the Arts! YAY for her!!!!
Les Mis second night went well.
I think I'm going to have to ammend the sports remark with the declaration that Wii sports is the truly notable exception.
LES MIS IS OVER!!!! I'M GOING TO MISS THEM ALL!!!!!

Speaking of Les Mis, I get to see the Broadway production of it in 19 days! Whoo!!
Good morning everyone.
Greg's commercial for H&R Block is supposed to start airing today. If anybody notices it, would you mind posting here where you saw it? I'm sure H&R Block commercials are showing a lot right now (due to it being tax time) but I don't see much TV so I don't know where to go looking for them.
Have a great day all!
I'll look out for it Mamie!
have fun at the concert Traci!
and wish me luck! My phone interview on March 23rd has now been changed to a face-to-face interview on Wed.! It's going to be exciting!
Lots and lots of good luck, Dre!
Hey, Greg Jbara fans!
As some of you may know, Greg was in BRIGADOON: 1991 London Studio Cast as Jeff. I'm currently doing BRIGADOON [no, I'm not Jeff [sadly] BUT I play Andrew MacLaren, Jean and Fiona's father.] And I was wondering if any of you guys possibly have the cast recording?
If you could help me out, PM me.
I have the one that Greg appears on. Unfortunately he only speaks a little on the CD - no singing.

A week and a day until I go to NEW YORK! Whoo!
hey all!
just wanted to touch base and tell you all that if you want/are free this summer, come to the Shakespeare Theatre of NJ cause I can get you free tickets for any show there. Cause I got the SM internship!! wOOt!!
totally serious about coming to the theatre during the summer.
Have any of you checked Greg's web site lately? There's a link to a wonderful video clip from "Come on Over" with Greg singing and dancing. (It just makes me miss him more!)
just saw it! awww, miss him so much! wondering how he's doing.
I don't know, hon. I don't know if he's stayed in touch with anyone around here or not. I got an occasional email until the first week in January but nothing since then.
In summation I've almost been a part of this site for 2 years...mind blowing...
2 days, cat, in 2 days.
Greetings.
I certainly didn't mean to make it so long since I last posted here, I've just been uberbusy, but now I'm finally on spring break!
I had my last performance of Annie Get Your Gun yesterday (I was playing and getting paid for the same comm. theatre that did Guys & Dolls the year before). We had an extremely talented Annie, a Frank Butler with an opera voice, and it was a lot of fun. I'm gonna go into post-show depression soon
But it was great, 4 of my friends here from school schlepped out with me to see it last Saturday, and got me a burger king crown, and one of my friends came Saturday night, so that was awesome. Meant a lot to me.
What else is up. I have a very important interview for a summer internship tomorrow, kind of nervous. I'm taking an opera class, which I really like. I've always wanted to get into opera and see one, but never got around to it. I saw my very first one at the Met Friday night--La Traviata. A very different experience, but I loved it--moreso than I was even expecting.
Tonight at my school thered is NYT discussion with Broadway choreographers, including Jerry Mitchell, who I think I am going to have sign my DRS poster. Hehe.
In other DRS news, I went to the Broadway for Medicine concert last week that Joanna performed in, and she had 3 background singers: One who I coulda sworn they said Michael Berresse, but he kind of doesn't belong...along with Tim Alex and Dennis Stowe! That was an exciting treat.
Joe Cassidy had a concert the same night as the My First Time benefit, which I already had tix to so I missed it. Pooh.
I wish I could see Greg's commercial, but I barely watch TV anymore.
Ooh, and everyone should watch Johnny and the Sprites.
The financial district is a weird place to live in.
Okay, the end.
For now.
So, i was watching the Going Blonde: Road to Broadway video (the most recent one with Jerry Mitchell. March 12th I think) for Legally Blonde on Broadway.com and the guy who is playing professor Callihan was talking and behind him walked a familiar face. It was Jason Gillman! I completely forgot he was in this show! Look out for him if you watch the video!

I go to New York TOMORROW! I am so excited. Ah. I'm seeing Mary Poppins on Thursday and Les Mis on Friday. I might try to go see something tomorrow, it just depends on how we feel when we get there. WHOOO!
I think Jason's gonna be a cover again...not positive of which parts...is that info available anywhere yet?
Have fun Julia!
