Dre may have run into the same problem i have last couple of days.
I get email alerts when someone posts to the thread. If I click on the link to the thread from the email, it currently takes me initally to the first page of the thread. I can't remember for sure if that's how it always worked, or if it would normally go to the page with the post in the email, but in any event, currently, if I click on the last page of the thread ... right now, 57 is blank and only has a link to page 1; 56 only has this post from Traci (copy/pasting here):

::::Greg Jbara Love Thread Part 5: Keeping the love for our true prance alive!
Posted On: 12/12/07 at 01:32 PM

Is he Dead? was pretty fabulous. I loved it, and seeing Norbert prancing and twirling around in a pretty pink dress totally made my life. But seriousally, if you have the chance I highly recommend seeing this. It was very good.::::

The appearance of this message by Traci is a mystery in itself (more on that later) ...

So ... what I had to do, and what Dre and anyone else coming to the thread from an email link will need to do is, enter the thread via the off-topic board's main page ... find the love thread in the list, and enter the thread that way, and everything will be here ...

EXCEPT for the one post by Traci, quoted above, which does not seem to be here. At least looking at posts made within that date and time frame, I don't see it.

So anyhoo, that's the deal, far as I can tell. So Dre, if you've been clicking on the links from email, don't use that for now, just enter the thread directly from the BWW topic list.

Barb xoxo

EDITED TO ADD... okay, if I "click on it via board" method, I not only don't see that 12/12 post I quoted, I don't see any of Traci's posts, not going through all the pages, but going several pages back, nada. But "click on link from email" method, I see tons of posts by her, but it's weird. Like the one post will be by itself on page 56; on page 55, I see an October post by me, a November post by Traci, and then last of all, that same message quoted above again (but just those three messages on that page); page 54 - six August dated messages by Traci, August msg. by Julia, couple of October messages by Traci, then the same three messages that I see on page 55. Page 53 has all *those* messages, plus six others on top of those. But I don't see any of the messages I can see when I enter via BWW (Mamie's on the last several pages, Annie's, etc.)... It's hard to explain, it's like It's Bizarro Greg love thread via the email link; it seems to change the entire board. Even page 1 starts with a 7/27/06 Traci post, but if I enter the first page of the thread via BWW, I see it the normal way, with Liz's initial message.

Bizarre! Some weird fluke I guess... [End Edit] Updated On: 1/8/08 at 12:08 PM

You're absolutely right, Barb. I'm thinking that you can trust those email messages to alert you to a new post, but if you want to actually SEE the post, you have to enter from the main menu.

I tried accessing the thread from the link you sent me and just like yours, Traci's posts failed to appear. I then accessed it via the link from the email I RECEIVED directly from BWW and it also went to page 1, and showed a total of 57 pages in the thread. I jumped to 57 and there was nothing there. AND it said I was on page 1 of 1! I backed up to page 56 and there was one post - Traci's! Your post didn't appear at all. Page 55 only had 3 posts on it. Totally screwed up.

SO - I ended up coming into the thread from the Off-Topic board, as I usually do. There was Barb's missing post but once again, Traci had disappeared.

(Does anybody remember the good ol' days when there was some stability to this board?)

Aww, HAD to post this. John/Norbert DRS reunion at Is He Dead!

https://www.broadwayworld.com/viewcolumn.cfm?colid=24346

There's even an old Ruprecht lick in there for good old times!

Aww, that makes me so happy.

On another DRS-related note, Jeremy Davis and Laura Marie Duncan have been casted in ensemble parts in South Pacific. I really hope Laura gets to understudy Kelli.

yeah, that was so weird. I had a bookmark bar link at the top of the internet window and so when I clicked that, all I got was a page with Traci's message and that's it. but then I realized I had to click on it from the board. It works now.

Amanda, I saw that and was like: yay!!

great show!!! see it. please. it's brilliant. plus, I finally got my pic with Norbert that I missed during DRS.

Oh, how sweet! John visited Norbert backstage!!!! Gotta love these men! And Norb licked his face again, it's like some sort of greeting style! How cool!

Hope everyone is fine. I was sick for a wholel month.

Congrats on the pic Dre. IM it to me, I'd like to see it.

I have the one bad picture that I have a picture of the picture, but after all my Norbert "encounters," I think I'm scared to actually speak to him again.

When Traci and I went, we waited, I was scared, but we just talked to Jenn for a while, then decided it was cold and Norbert wasn't coming out. Can't say I was too disappointed Greg Jbara Love Thread Part 5: Keeping the love for our true prance alive!

Hehe Annie, I thought of you right away when I saw the pictures!

Mamie, it was great seeing you, let me know how the rest of your trip went.

oh dre you were there at the cd signing of Young Frankenstein? How lucky you are. I can't even download the songs because on Limewire there are only licensed mp3 songs from the show...

Some of you will appreciate this bit of Greg news, especially if you're both a Greg fan AND a fan of Disney theme parks.

I really can't wait. It's going to be scary, but loads of fun.

For what it's worth - my niece lived in San Diego for about a year and she absolutely LOVED it. The only reason she didn't stay was her home-sickness. She'd give her right arm if she could get the rest of her family to move there!

Make sure you write to Greg and tell him. Also let him know why you wanted to work there. I'm sure he'd be interested and very pleased.
