I too wrote on the other thread, but congrats congrats!
Knew you applied and that the interview went well, so glad you got it.
Say hi to Jack O'Brien for me! (And mention how much money in royalties I provided for him, haha).
After these couple of weeks, I'm seeing how hard stage managing is. For this showcase that one of my bosses produced, I kind of house managed, kind of assistant stage managed, and yeah, it's hard, especially always running out to Gristedes when we run out of drinks. And washing dishes after every performance. Still probably not quite as hard as your things, but even on a smaller level.
So yeah, the last performance was Sunday, so between my internship, my drama desk job, and this, I haven't had a day off in 3 weeks, kinda need one. But things have been fun and going well...I'm getting much better at schmoozing, even approaching actors at parties and stuff and introducing myself and seeing myself more as an equal than as a fan at the stage...well, not studying so much. Kinda hard to study for tests when so many other exciting things are going on.
But yeah, really, congratulations! What a thing to add to your resume going into your senior year!
DRS in spansih? awesome!

Hi, all!
Dre, congrats on your Old Globe internship! That's pretty cool.
Thought you all might enjoy this Andrew Asnes-related graphic.
(Resized a bit to hopefully avoid side-scrolling.)
As always, all the Greg news and latest is at GregoryJbara.com!

Have y'all seen this NYT Jack O'Brien article? Wild!
Rearranging the Bedroom Is Easier With a Rotating Bed - New York Times
that is hysterical!! and i want one.
I loved how they got David Rockwell to come in and help him. god, i love his designs for DRS and Legally Blonde.
saw Greg's print ad. and it's by Pfizer! company that my dad works for!
don't understand why there are two pictures of him that look exactly the same.
I will give this a shot....
The emphasis of the ad is that this one tiny little pill acts like two medicines. This is emphasized by showing one man who received both benefits - lower blood pressure and lower cholesterol. If they had shown two separate pictures then the "2 in 1" message would have been diluted. Of course the Greg fans would have been DELIGHTED, but I don't think they ran the ad for us...
thanks mamie.
yeah, i would have liked two different pictures, but the ad wouldn't have made sense. He still looks good.
and I watched the Project 96B video. Nice job Greg!
EDIT: I saw the Caduet commercial on Greg's website. He gets to dance again!! it's awesome!
ok, who else is really excited to see Greg on Monk?
Monk is one of my favorite shows (though I can't watch it all the time). So excited he'll be on it!!!

Dre, I'm nearly peeing myself over it! That's a show I've wanted Greg to guest on for the longest time. :) (Like you, I'm a huge fan of the show, but don't always get to see it.)
But yeah, Greg on MONK ... it's going to be great!
(Barb waves to everybody...)
Wouldn't it be dreamy if we all had our recorders on that night and while recording Greg on Monk, it breaks for a commercial and there he is, doing a romantic tango with the wifey.... (sigh)
in that commercial where he dances, is that really his wife?
confused...
yes, that would totally be awesome!!
No Dre.
That's an actress.
She's playing the part of the guy in the blue shirt's wife.
It's back to theatre school for you!
haha. very funny.
when you said "wifey" for a minute I thought Julie was playing his wife on the commercial. (I haven't seen it in a while). she did act in that show where he was the judge. so it could have been her in the commercial.
plus i'm exhausted from rehearsals all week. no excuse, i know, but still.
oo, forgot to tell you. on the walkway to the Old globe, there are banners with pasts shows on them (the ones i think that have gone to Broadway). one of them is of course DRS but on one side is John and the other side is Norbert (both taken during Dirty Rotten Number at the end of the song). but the really cool thing is that they have a pic from Damn Yankees, the revival that Jack O'Brian did. And the pic that they put up is the group pic with Greg in the back row smiling away. I get to past his smiling face all the time. :) it makes my day.
That's wonderful, Dre. I haven't heard - how are you liking it there?
It's going really well. At first, I felt that I wasn't doing as much as I was at the Shakespeare Theatre of NJ, but now that we have started doing run-thrus before tech, i moving around like crazy and exhausted every night. so, learning a lot, still think that STNJ is better but love it out here and the actors are great. plus, it is great to see three directors directing the same group of actors in different ways and how the actors perform didn't sort of roles. Like this one guy, he is Doctor Caius is Merry Wives (a French doctor with a great accent) and is hilarious!!! And in Romeo and Juliet, he is Capulet. and those scenes with Juliet are so powerful. It's incredible.
Annie! did you see John at the Tonys? He presented an award and he was hysterical!

no I haven't seen it yet.
BTW, hi all!!!!
I only saw a couple of videos on youtube but I have to wait a week or two till I get my tape. But he was there, he was there. He is still sexy. But...he doesn't give money to his wife to by new clothes as far as I can see....

why was he hysterical...what did he say, what did he say????
Hi Annie!
I don't remember exactly what he said but I do remember that they played the Scoundrels theme as he walked to the stage and it made me miss the show even more!

aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh...sip...sip
it was something about how he was presently the award for best director of a musical and how all of them were awesome musicals but none of them ask him to be in it.
something like that. what he said was funnier.

Found some interesting news about Greg Graham (DRS Dance Captain extraordinaire and frequent fun guest on Greg's backstage webcam - as most of you already know)...
According to this Summer Play Festival Playwrights Blog (http://playwrights.spfnyc.com/index.php/site/comments/on_your_mark_get_set_go/), Greg is choreographing Tio Pepe for the festival. It's playing July 22 - 27 at Shiva Theater at the Public Theater.
See schedule here: http://www.spfnyc.com/festival/show.cfm?id=76
Plus there's the tiny little matter, as the blog also points out, of Mr. Graham being the Dance Captain for Billy Elliot the Musical. :) So cool that the DRS Dance Captain is returning to the Imperial for BETM!
