You must remember all the same that at the crux of every game is knowing when it's time to leave the table... And it's important to be artful in your exit. No turning back, you must accept the con is done... It was a ball, it was a blast. And it's a shame it couldn't last. But every chapter has to end, you must agree.

Thread seems a bit quiet. I wasn't able to watch tonight because I had to work, but congrats to Greg! I was definitely pumping my fists in the air when I read the results on the website.

well, I went to see Greg in Billy Elliot today but I couldn't get a ticket. They are sold out till Saturday night.

I waited after the show and saw Greg, said hi, then said bye. He had friends there and also Will Swenson in Hair and his family came to see the show, so I didn't want to be in the way. but not sure when I'm going to see him again.

Good luck to him!!

I know what you mean, Dre. I've tried several times to see him but there's always a big crowd around. I'm afraid I've given up trying. (It's terribly selfish of me to say so - but I'm missing a little of the Scoundrels days. For him - I'm thrilled beyond words. For us - not so much anymore!)

How is everyone? I hope you're well.

I read Greg's interview on Broadway.com today and I didn't know he thanked so many people on his website. I went to check for kicks and I was so surprised to see my name on there! Did anyone else see theirs? I kinda want to cry a little (maybe 'cuz it's 2 am and I'm tired lol), but I'm honored he remembers his fans :)

I don't know anyone else who would have felt that grateful to his fans to go to all that trouble. (And special kudos to Barb for all the labor involved in getting it there!) It's because Greg is the kind of man he is that originally gave birth to this thread. He deserves it, and the award, and so much more.

(And my selfish side still misses the old days when you could just drop in for a visit and a chat. Now we can just say that 'we knew him when'!)

8/3 Mets vs. Diamondback ... We lost

So I know a handful of peeps who attempted to record Greg's singing the National Anthem but without success.
Here's the crappy video I took (which makes me look like I have active Parkinsons!). Audio isn't too bad tho.

My apologies for missing the intro. part. He sang at approx 6:57 p.m. and I thought it would be more like 7 p.m. since the game started at 7:10 p.m. Live and learn.

This is FABULOUS! Thank you so much for recording it. Very few people can sing the National Anthem well - and he knocked it out of the park!
