I'm posting these here because there's so much strike crap on the main board that everything else is sinking off the bottom of the page within minutes. I didn't want people to miss these.

I think I just died a little inside from all of the gorgeousness. Thank you!
Dont shoot me....BUT....whats Grey Gardens about?
A botanic garden on a cloudy day.
Seriously, the Beales. Google it.
Shame on you for not giving credit to the designer, Kalina Ivanov. You are not an artscallion, you are a RAPscallion! I am very excited about this film, I can't wait to see it. Thanks for posting these...
Can't wait!
I've long thought that is was a major mistake of the musical not to show how the act one room could have changed in act two.
Glad to see the film is making use of it.
Dragging this old topic back up because HBO aired a commercial for the movie this weekend. It was captured and posted on youtube and a few blogs. Though I can't link to it because "This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Home Box Office, Inc."
The film, according to the commercial, is being released in April of 2009.
From what I hear, the movie turned out really well.
I saw the trailer too, and it looks sumptuous. Really great casting in my opinion. But, I guess we'll just have to see if I'm right...and I cannot wait for that opportunity. April seems so far away (not as far away as JANUARY 20 though!)

I heard something last night that was unclear, and I still haven't been able to confirm it either way - is this actually going to be in theaters or is it premiering on HBO?
HBO in April.
The HBO trailer was up on YouTube for a few days. They seem to have taken it down now. It looks fantastic. And the makeup when they're older during the "documentary time" is terrific. I was shocked how much they looked like the real deal.
Why do I never tire on Edie and Grey Gadens? What does it say about me?
Miss Penny, I find it a little disturbing that I identify with those two women. I have seen the documentary many times and never get sick of it. There is always something new to discover.
Thank you, nmartin. Now I don't feel quite so alone.
Oh, you're FAR from alone. At least in my household!
besty, do you also wear sweaters on you head, pinned with a priceless brooch? :-P
thanks for the pics, artscallion. Now I'm even more anxious to see this.
My six-year-old son wraps articles of clothing around his head and pins it with as brooch. Then he comes into my room and says, "Oh HI!"
Oh, Penny... I love your son!
Thank you, JG2. He started doing it after he saw GREY GARDENS THE MUSICAL...when he was 4! I'll post photos on facebook.
LOL, miss p! That's awesome. Can't wait to see pix.
Has he taken to calling you "Mother, darling" yet?
Yes, he calls me "Mother darling" and my daughter speaks in Big Edie's voice: "Edie! I'm starving!" So, it's like I'm playing both roles.
"besty, do you also wear sweaters on you head, pinned with a priceless brooch? :-P"
No, but my partner does.
LOL
Actually it's usually a bathroom towel. And he's constantly saying, "It's the most disgusting, atrocious thing EVER to happen in America!"
Of course, he's had reason to for the past couple of years.
PLENTY of reasons to.
He also likes saying, "I can do terrific dances!"
