I know I'm giving a lot of personal info here, but I can't believe this woman! She's here on business, so her entire trip will be reimbursed. It's her fault she got the ticket because she can't read a sign.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Edited a second time to remove link. Apparently, it's petty.

Was there supposed to be a link?

Well, were you sleeping?

I understand your frustration, but if I were you I'd delete this thread asap. Reflects badly on you and your establishment. It's also petty.
No, it wasn't me. I met her last night when she came back from work. All I said was that the hotel gave her a discounted rate for one night. She said that the ticket was a "hotel issue" and stomped upstairs.
I usually work the 3-11 shift, so I miss all the morning drama.

Also, it seems like she's not the only one who has complaints about your hotel.

Obviously she's never been to the Hotel Carter in NYC. If the loud cast parties from Broadway musicals don't keep you up, the bedbugs and roaches will.
"Also, it seems like she's not the only one who has complaints about your hotel."
That's true. If you look at the dates, the most recent ones are better than the older ones. When the current manager took over, he had trouble getting rid of a few of the bad employees. The reviews of the staff have improved over the last year.
The hotel is also 113 years old, so we can't do a lot to fix the other complaints. Like getting rid of street noise or the parking situation. Also, we can't do anything about the homeless who stay in the Golden Gate Park.
We receive many compliments from people who don't use Yelp. Our Trip Advisor reviews are better.
Point of the thread was asking about Yelp reviews from current guests/customers. Does this woman think that she's going to receive any customer service after trash talking us? She told the manager that she was also going to complain to UCSF (where she's working).

I don't know what to tell you. But yeah, posting the review on here and saying that she won't receive any customer service after her review don't really speak too great to the hotel.
I'm going to do my job and will try to accommodate her requests, if any. She was rude to us last night.
Does your job include complaining on a public message board of your hotel guests while also displaying your employer's name on a review site?
Sorry, but you posting that here is for more obnoxious than someone posting a review of the hotel on a site designed for such things.
I don't understand why you posted that in the first place. It sheds a negative light on you and your hotel. Do you own this hotel?
She tried to get satisfaction from actual people to no avail, so I don't see why she shouldn't take to the airwaves.
And as bad as the review is, I'm afraid I agree that posting it here makes it much worse. I feel like I have all the info I need about this hotel.

I'll add to what Patronus said. I travel extensively. I sometimes am sent places for the sole purpose of evaluating. I am sometimes told to be difficult to see how management handles things. I write for yelp, travel advisor and other sites.
You'd better believe your hotel has someone who browses the web to check things out. I'll suggest to you again. Delete this thread as soon as possible.
As for not receiving any customer service as a result of her review, short of murdering her in the shower I'm not sure how the service could get worse.
Link removed.
I didn't mean to rile any feathers by posting this. Yes, I know I posted my work contact and I put that in the original post.
Most people wait until they leave the premises before going to Yelp. Not this woman.
Personally, I don't give much cred to Yelp. Most of the reviews are for things that are out of the establishment's control. Our owners pay more attention to Trip Advisor anyway.
Also, for anyone who is friends with me on Facebook know that I post work stories almost on a daily basis.
Well, now I want to be Facebook friends with you.
Are you INSANE?!!! You use Facebook to post work "stories" on there? Do you know if your employer found out you would get fired? Why would you do that?!!
I also don't understand why you would start this thread here. Deal with your job and it's problems appropriately or if you need to vent talk to a trusted friend but by all means don't post stuff like this on the internet.
I know what to post and what not to post, thank you very much. I don't get into specifics.
If my boss doesn't like it, then he needs to stop liking the posts on Facebook.
Apparently I'm petty and insane.

I'm personally not at all riled. It's just an incredibly unwise thing to do if you want to keep your job. You'd also do well to heed Carlos' advice.

And likely soon to be unemployed, yes.
I'm not being fired.

Good for you. If I were your boss I would fire you in a new york minute. You are in the wrong business.
I'm actually very good at my job. Like I said before, my boss knows that I post stories. I don't post pertinent guest information. I shared this because she posted it first.
I'm also human and I'm not going to go out of my way to waste energy when a guest isn't going to treat me like a human being.

Of course everyone deserves to be treated like a human being, but discretion in the hotel business is paramount, even if your guest is a flaming asshole. You don't have to accept mistreatment, but you don't publish it, shy of criminal activity.
Your boss may not have a job much longer if you keep this sort of thing up with his/her tacit knowledge. It is simply unacceptable behavior.
I kid you not. I get hired to fire people like you.
