I don't usually like Chick Flicks, but there are a couple that are on my "Guilty Pleasure" list.
1) Clueless
2) 13 Going on 30

Why is CLUELESS a guilty pleasure? Are you really embarrassed by it? It's not a bad movie.

No, Clueless is a great movie. But, when I mention that I love that movie around other hetero guys, they give me the strangest look.

Guilty Pleasure for me:
1.) Showgirls
2.) Who's That Girl (Madonna shines in this)
3.) Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (with Oscar winner Helen Hunt and SJP pre-SATC)
4.) Can't Hardly Wait (an all-star cast of tweens who went on to better material, notably Lauren Ambrose.)
5.) CLUE (Eileen Brennan, Madeline Kahn and Leslie Ann Warren-a gay man just can't ask for more) "Flames on the side of my face...heaving breaths....heathing breaths..."
Those are just a few.

You actually danced along to the movie?

So pathetic!

Even though I don't need to explain this to you . . . I did not dance while watching the movie. One of my good friends from college and I used to do the choreography for fun while we were backstage during musical practice (She had the music on a cd).

Of films in current release, The Covenant is right up there.
Deliciously bad--bad acting, worse writing, no direction and nice boys in Speedos.
What more do you want from a guilty pleasure? Art?

I love Drumline. Only reason why I joined marching band was because of that movie.
I also love watching alot of independent made movies, especially ones from IFC.

The ghost and Mr. Chicken!!!! I almost forgot how I much I enjoyed watching that.
My guilty pleasure is the movie version of OH DAD, POOR DAD...
with Roz Russell. Damn that is a odd movie.

Well, if you want a really guilty pleasure, check out Skidoo playing at the MoMA in NYC next month--talk about a cult film...I've never seen it but it was described by Frankie Avalon (who is in it) as "the worst picture ever." I would go, but we'll be out of the country then! Check out the cast list...

Campfire Stories with Jamie-Lynn Sigler...it's so hysterically bad, and I can feel myself getting dumber everytime I watch it, but it's great for a laugh.
And most of the afore-mentioned.

It's "lose," not "loose."
Definitely Clue - I love Madeline Kahn. Also Deep Blue Sea. I just can't not watch that movie when it's on TV.

Posted: 9/27/06 at 4:46pmI don't understand the concept of "guilty pleasure". Why feel guilty about liking a movie? Makes no sense to me.

JB, it's when you know the movie is bad and/or stupid but you can't help watching it. I suppose that's a decent definition.
Ooh, Spice World!

Definitely all of the terrible chick flicks, and all the Adam Snadler movies.
Specifically, I'd say...The Island. Everyone says how terrible that movie is. I love it.
