This story really bothers me. It is almost impossible to spread HIV via saliva, there has never been a documented case of the virus being spread in that manner.

I mean, if I had strep throat and spit -- technically, strep throat CAN kill you, and you actually COULD get that from spit...would it get the same sentence?

But if saliva doesn't carry enough of the virus to pose any credible threat, how can you make the case that it is a 'deadly weapon', even with intent.
