Today marks your 10 year anniversary on BWW.
For 10 years you have graced us with your presence, shared your incredible knowledge of and passion for theatre, and enlightened us with your memories, insights and YouTube clips of some of the most wonderful performances we've ever known.
I have personally saved a number of your posts - in which you shared how a show or performance shaped you as a young boy, informed your life and molded you into the brilliant and talented man you are today.
I have long felt that BWW would benefit from a regular PalJoey column. You have so much to share! I know I scan the Main board looking for your name when a show has opened, or a performance has been given, because your opinions and insights are so valuable to so many of us.
It's hard to believe it's been 10 years. It really feels as if it was only yesterday that we stumbled upon this playground, started to meet eachother and develop friendships that would - for many of us - be life changing.
On a personal note, I can't imagine my life without PalJoey and PalJoey's pal in it. We've laughed together, cried and mourned together, supported eachother and celebrated together. As the oft-used lyric goes: Because I knew you, I have been changed for good.
So, a toast to you, PalJoey, on this happy day.
So here's to life
And every joy it brings
Here's to life
To dreamers and their dreams
May all your storms be weathered
And all that's good get better
Here's to life
Here's to love
And here's to you!!

Oh my, this is so sweet. I love you all and this place, which has become very special to me.
I've had the opportunity to share theatergoing experiences here and to learn about new ones I wouldn't have known about. I've re-lived my youthful experiences--and re-lived my youth as well. It was social media before we had Facebook and it's been a blogless blog for me, a place where I could share my memories about people and plays I've known and loved.
I've shared cocktails and laughter, anger and bitchery, and sicknesses and health. I've made friends--and mourned them too. I've celebrated birthdays and anniversaries and was consoled here when I lost Miss Holly, only months after she made her debut--in Follies, of all shows, and at the Kennedy Center, of all places. Well, she made her debut in the gift shop, at any rate, and it was just a picture of her, but no one can say she didn't she help sell those pillows! (Stay tuned for news and pictures of a new puppy!)
I've argued politics here, and battled trolls. I've even been "outed." ("Gee, that was fun-and-a-half...") It's funny to think of doing something as odd as posting on a website for as long as ten years, but BroadwayWorld has become a part of my life I cherish.
Especially the friendships I've formed here--and the friendships I've cemented--and the constant possibility that some kid will post something like "Hey, I just listened to this Sondheim musical for the first time!"--which pretty much happened again this past weekend with Sweeney Todd--and BroadwayWorld will make me feel like I'm fourteen years old again, and seeing Company for the first time...or Follies for the fifth...or Child's Play or Hadrian VII or Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead or Maggie Smith in Private Lives...
So thank you for the anniversary wishes, and thanks again, Rob, for the use of the hall.

It's so wonderful to have you here, PJ! This would be a far, far lesser place without you in it.
Happy Anniversary!
