OK
Just out of curiosity, JB2, what are your thoughts on the upcoming remake with Keira Knightley?
There is no musical that I want to see remade more than MY FAIR LADY. If you don't use the 1964 film as a blueprint (too many stage productions do), you can easily better it. Just taking the camera outside for a moment or two, would do wonders! Although, I'm not thrilled with Keira Knightley. Is she a lock? Unfortunately, the need for a star name, is required, today. Something (regardless of what is now written about the casting of Hepburn) that wasn't required in 1964, when the show's title was the star. I'd prefer Anne Hathaway, to Knightley. At least Hathaway comes off like something more than a vacuous runway model. This desire to make Eliza some waif-like, fragile presence, is ALL WRONG, imo.
Okay.

I love the movie, and I love Audrey in it.
So there.
Me too.
Although I do agree that for the remake Anne Hathaway would be a better choice than Keira Knightley.
