To all the BWW lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgendered, wondering, questioning--be proud of who and what you are.
And a big hug to all our fabulous straight friends--we're proud to call you friends.
===
People let me tell you I work hard every day
I get up out of bed, I put on my clothes
'Cause I've got bills to pay
Now it ain't easy but I don't need no help
I've got a strong will to survive
I've got a deeper love, deeper love
Deeper love inside and I call it
Pride (a deeper love)
Pride - a deeper love
(Pride) a deeper love
Woah woah woah woah
It's the (pride) power that gives you
The (pride) strength to survive
(Pride - a deeper love)
(Woah woah woah woah)
Yeah ooh yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah

Any Toronto people heading to the parade or Church Street parrty today?
Happy pride to all!
And special thanks to all the gay (etc.) artists who help make the Broadway world (and Broadwayworld.com) such a hugely entertaining place. If we listed you all by name we'd be here all day (and some of you are still closeted) but you know who you are and we appreciate you putting yourselves on the line.
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

Posted: 6/25/06 at 2:59pmI had to miss the Chicago Pride parade today because my GAY director scheduled rehearsal. Is this not an act against life? I'm so upset. :,( A bunch of my friends are there though and promised to buy me stuff! Yay!

Kevin DID look great--sitting on a freakin' ELEPHANT on the HX float (with some very interesting-looking go-go boys).
He had his jaw unwired so that he could be there, but he apparently is still in great pain.
And Christine Ebersole looked like she was having the BEST time!
I also loved the Middle Colegiate Church float doing a LIVE gospel rendition of "Ain't No Stopping Us Now"--now that's gay pride!

It wasn't Madonna. It was Jennifer Lopez. And she was adorable.
And no, Harris. Miss Holly hates crowds.

that is FANTASTIC! You go, Kevin Aviance! I hope everyone had a FANTASTIC pride weekend...but don't forget that we can continue to celebrate who we are and be proud of ourselves every day!
I missed Pride in the city this weekend so I'll be celebrating it in my own small way for the rest of the summer to make up for it!
re: Happy Pride!#21

I feel bad for skipping the parade. But I look like a drowned rat when I'm out in the rain too long. I guess I'm just a fair-weather queen. And bravo to Kevin!
Besides, won't Madonna this week be like a mini-pride, anyway?

I walked in the Chicago Pride parade yesterday and it cleared up just in time for it!
Hurray for all of you gay folks! I respect you more than I can type in words.

Seattle Pride was the largest ever. The parade was moved downtown, and the festivities from a park on the Hill to the Seattle Center. It also had the most entrants... and we had a beautiful day to boot.
