Harry Dean Stanton Is Amazing

If there's one thing you can count on in a Harry Dean Stanton performance, its that his character will inevitably draw the most interest from the viewer. It takes true talent to become the most fascinating thing on the screen and yet, Stanton does it every time.

I still can't believe HDS and Grace Zabriskie didn't get Emmy nominations for Big Love. They were both outstanding.

Alien and The Straight Story--his face when Farnsworth pulls up to his house toward the end makes me well up just thinking about it--amazing!

I liked him in Alien for his affinity towards the survivor kitty, as I always am quite partial to the animal defenders in films Too bad that those who protect them usually wind up pretty f'ed in the end.
