Relax Elph, we'll always need people to man the fryers at McDonalds.
Once again people here prove what snobs they are when it comes to people who work for a living.
Its a good thing you have the Mexicans around so we have someone to pick your fruit, and the Coloreds to clean your toilet, too.
What an ass.

Posted: 12/29/07 at 12:30pmWell I experienced the same thing at a late night showing of Sweeney. They had the Mamma Mia preview and someone yelled out "queer" after it. I felt like saying "You know you are about to see a Sonheim musical, don't you?" And about 6 idiotic teenagers did walk out in the first five minutes, but the person who yelled out stayed for the whole movie.

It just irritates the crap out of me when people put hard working people down for how they get through in life. Equating a homophobic idiot to some one who makes the fries that you have no trouble shoving down your throat by the handful, is despicable. Have you ever tried working a fryer for minimum wage? Maybe you should do it for a day before you put those people down.
Just my little opinion, carry on with your shallow selves.

everything irritates the crap out of you. Do you really think I take you seriously?
And speaking about jumping to conclusions, how may assumptions did you just make?
I don't eat at fast food joints.
I have worked at Burger King as a teen
You imply that I don't work hard to make it through life, as if you would know.
Have you ever worked at a fast food place?

I am not going to argue with you. It is useless. It is just my opinion. And obviously, you will never get it.

I gotta side with Sue.
To me that comment about always needing fryers at McDonalds comes off a bit classist.
It was probably not intended to offend..but the working poor in this country are always such an easy target that anything that belittles their labor strikes me as insensitive at least.
The comments that person said at Best Buy in no way indicate where he will end up on the economic ladder.
There are a LOT of dumb shallow people making TONS of money.
In all probability someone in a Best Buy talking on a phone whose only problems are that Sweeney Todd was a musical suggest they are not of the class that is concerned with paying the rent and where their next meal is coming from. This person could just as easily be that worthless nephew who lands a cushy job and never understands what the plight of real working people is.
I have the utmost respect for the people who do the grunt work in this country .

He probably is a distant cousin of the POTUS.
I get Sueleen's comment - unfortunately Taz, some pretty classless, obnoxious and useless individuals ascend to positions of power.
I doubt McDonald's would even give this guy a job!

well, it certainly wasn't my intent to put down anyone. I know from hard work and I sincerely respect the guy who digs ditches as much as the guy who performs brain surgery.
My comment was meant to disparage the stupidity and homophobia of the kid in best buy. I see that it does sound calssist and that's not what I intended.
It was an insult to fast food employees to compare him to them.

True dat Taz.
Unfortunately, in this country, who you know is just as, if not more important than what you can or cannot do.
