Ivy Leagues and actresses often go hand in hand, it seems.
When asked on the Today Show she wouldn't tell what school and wanted to keep it private.
Still...very glad to see that she is going to school!
Daniel Radcliffe already spilled the beans a week or so ago. Interview somewhere, can't remember. But by all accounts, she's really, really smart.
No. She's going to be in 'A Little Night Music.'
She might have trouble remembering her lines seeing as how she has been dead for over 30 years.
Did anyone else misread this thread title?
I thought this was something COMPLETELY different.

Do tell...
"Hermoine is going DOWN?"
One of the little known facts about Brown:
It is the #1 Ivy League school for first time girl-on-girl action.
How special, Sueleen.
I'm glad Emma's going to college. Rupert and Daniel have "quit school" so it's nice that Emma's continuing her education.

It doesn't suprise me that education is not important to the red head!
I feel sorry for her. She's going to be getting so much attention from the media. We all knew that was going to happen once she started school, but now the cat is really out of the bag-- especially since from what I heard, America is crazier about celebrities than Britain is. I hope it doesn't ruin her learning experience and her fun in college, though.

Of course, we don't know what will happen. Nothing like this has ever happened before. It's not like Jodie Foster stopped making movies and went to off to college for four years.
That was a long time ago. You have to admit that with the internet and everything, the media's a lot crazier.

Natalie Portman didn't seem to have any problems, and that wasn't that long ago at all.

Nothing will compare to the time Missy Gold went to FIT.
I'm sure that things won't be too hard for her. I'm actually not sure where Brown is...but for some reason I believe it's on the east coast...so if it isn't close to LA, she might have it easier.
Also...she in her interviews she comes across a bit bland and dull so she probably won't be a tabloid goldmine like Lohan and Hilton are.

Does the fact that we have to discuss her by her character name mean anything? If I were told "one of these girls plays Hermione" I could pick her out of a line up but she could have been ahead of me in the line for the men's room last night and I never would have noticed.

One of the girls who played Paulette was in front of me in the men's room line last week!
And like Natalie Portman, she's enrolled under another name. Obviously she'll be recognized, but you won't have every Harry Potter fangirl and paparazzi creeper in New England able to track her down. Smart that they waited until after the letters of intent were due before releasing the info.
I hope she is able to have a relatively normal college experience. It seems like too many child stars start out with the best of intentions and give up after a year or two. Maybe if we had more people in Hollywood with college educations, there would be less drunken, pantyless escapades.

She picked a good school.
Everyone I know who went to Brown loved it.
orangeskittles, Difference between Emma Watson and Natalie Portman is that it is going to be harder for Watson to enroll under a different name due to the fact that Watson is her real last name. Portman's real last name is hershal sp?.
Speaking of Portman, this reminds me of a story that I heard from a good friend of my brother's who went to college with her. They had a sign up list for carpools for rides home and back for thanksgiving break. Apparently she signed up for a ride. And, when my friend's brother drove up to her dorm to pick her up, she expected him to actually pick up her luggage, put it in the trunk, and open the car door for her as if he were her personal driver.
