That happened to a friend of my cousin's too.
I misread that Hermione was down with the brown.
What do you mean, "It's going to be harder" to enroll under another name. She already did; that much was publicized months ago. It's not difficult when the university is probably working with her and her family to accomodate the privacy and security of one of the youngest self-made millionaires in the UK.
And maybe Natalie Portman expected help with her luggage and the door because it is the gentlemanly thing to do.
It's going to be weird seeing paparazzi hanging around Providence.
I thought she was going to Brown Town.
orangeskittles, I doubt that it was because it was the gentlemen thing to do with regards to the bags and the car. Keep in mind, that this was someone with a reputation of having a sense of superiority just because of their line of work before they enrolled in college. So I don't know.
It should be interesting to see how the student body will react to Watson being there. I know that when my brother went to grad school at London School Of Economics and Political Science some of his classmates included Monica Lowinski (people often joked about how she got through the door) and one of John Kerry's daughters during the time of the 04 election. Of course their reaction was different because they were grad students and a little older and maturer then typical college kids.
I read somewhere that Watson doesn't intend to pursue acting single-mindedly (as Radcliffe plans on doing, not sure where Grint's at), so prioritizing education at an institution like Brown is a good choice. As for the different name, while it won't disguise her, it will give her a measure of privacy on paper. A friend of mine, also an actor, did the same, and it made the enrollment and class registration process much simpler.
I know someone who has a few national commercials running, and has guest starred on a few tv shows recently. She's turned into an icy snob.
I can see the frat boys trying to add the new notch to their bed posts now..

Rhode Island is hardly paparazzi central. A few of them might venture there, especially if there's some kind of specific story going on that relates to her, but generally? It's easier for them to make money by sticking to LA and NY, where the celebrities are thicker on the ground.
Initially it will probably be crazy...but after a while it will calm down. Will there be some that will never let it go? Probably, but most will just accept her.
And she doesn't seem to live a very paparazzi interested lifestyle.
I was around for the Brooke Sheilds/Princeton timing and it was fine.
