Does anyone have direct experience with Homeopathy. I'd like to know how well people think it works (or doesn't) and in which areas it is most effective. Thanks.
I always prefer to try the natural route before anything over-the-counter or prescription.
My experience with Oscillococcinum (I know I misspelled that) has been amazing. It's a homeopathic flu med. Last year I had the flu, and this stuff knocked it out of me in TWO days.
Also, Airborne is great if you think you're coming down with a cold. It's loaded with vitamins.
Ginger tea is also great for cold/flu. Great about 1 TBSP fresh ginger using a cheese grater or such. Add to boiling water with a couple TBSP fresh lemon juice and honey to taste. Let steep about 5 mins.
It'll open up your sinuses and make you feel better.
Thank you so much L4C. I will write that down.
I was sick all day with a brutal stomach virus, for which my husband gave me Sepia. I am pretty amazed at how much it has helped.
I have my doubts about homeopathy, which is why I wanted to hear from others. But sometimes it does appear to be rather effective. I guess I just don't know enough about it.
I've been pleased with the results from Oscillo as well as a couple of remedies I've used for certain female issues - I know I've used them for other things too, just not remembering at the moment.
This is good to know. Thanks, Rath.
I guess my husband isn't completely wrong about everything.
Perhaps not.
The mother of one of my students tries to use 100% Homeopathic products. I have frequent minor headaches. She suggested Belladonna instead of Advil. I think it works just as well and faster. You just melt the pleasant tasting pellets under your tongue so you absorb the medicine quicker. She has things for the sniffles, congestion, coughs, cramps, cold sores, everything you can think of. She swears by it.
Her son came in smelling like a pizza one week. I asked about it. She said he had a rash and she used oregano oil. It's used for skin irritation and breakouts. When I went home over Christmas, my mother was using a new product that sells for $75 per 1oz. bottle. It's for evening skin tones and preventing breakouts. She said, "It's weird because it smells like pizza." The main ingredient in the stuff is oregano oil. They mixed a few inactive ingredients and jacked the price through the roof to sell at spas. Many times with the homeopathic stuff, you are getting the active ingredients without all the unnatural fillers.
Oregano Oil...I am going to look for that. Thanks, JG2!
