There are some funny ones in my family, too. My grandmother was Nina(Nine-a) Donnabelle. She had siblings named Vertyl Verdeen and Hazel Ione.

I moved to another school district, and then I found out that he'd been fired. Poor guy. Oh well.
And also, there was this guy at my high school named Rabie Rabie (pronounced 'Robby Robby'). ::shrug::

Didn't Nicholas Cage name his child Kal-El? Ok, he wants his kid to think he's Superman, but it's hard enough being the child of a celebrity without giving him/her a strange name.

Um- Lili'uokalani and Ka'ahumanu were both Hawaiian queens, those names are kinda normal there.
Of course, I don't speak for if it's parents jumping on the Hawaiian trendoid bandwagon, a la Helen Hunt naming her kid Makena'lei "after the Maui town" (I am 99% sure there's no such town. There is a Makena Beach on Maui, that's about all I can think of).
