According to a repugnant homophobic article, they found an OBVIOUSLY self-loathing San Francisco gymnastics coach to give the following quote:
"If we are going to make a huge impact and not be laughed at, then we have to take the time and make the time to communicate with all the parties. We could have shut down a lot of the hotels," said David Lang, a San Francisco gymnastics coach. "In theory it's a great idea, but it's being done wrong and now that it's been done wrong, I don't think it will be done again."
Obviously, this coach and the Associated Press think gay fetii should be aborted and Matthew Shepherd killed himself.
They also wrote THIS horrific statement:
The protest, which a gay couple from West Hollywood organized through the Internet,
A GAY COUPLE? Do they not have NAMES? And what about Jamie McGonigal?
Somebody harness this energy we all obvioulsy feel over this horrifying homophobia.
Where is our new Milk?
Don't click on the link and give the AP ratings
How does one subscribe to the Associated Press anyway?

I'd say we should protest outside the Associated Press newroom, but I can't figure out where it is. All their stories seem to have different cities at the front of their name. What are they hiding?

I don't know, Pal Joey, I just assumed they were a newspaper or something. Don't bog down our rage with trivialities.
We now have to boycott our beloved NPR, if what brdwaylwyr says is true. No more Nina Totenberg tote bags. But if that's what it takes, that's what it takes.
Where is Jamie McG??????
I think he's at the all-night prayer vigil for Liza. Check his Facebook status.

I'm not on Facebook because I believe "friend" is not a verb.
Jamie McGonnigal says WHOA!!! Motion Picture Academy is honoring "Humanitarian" Jerry Lewis?!? The Humanitarian that still finds "Fag" jokes funny??!?!?!
Not that I'm surprised, but this is how Greg Gutfeld and some of his commentators described today's "Day without a Gay" protest.
"It's kind of like Gandhi, but instead of a hunger strike, you brunch."
"OMG it's like 'Day without a Gay'! Who's gonna recommend sweaters?"
"It's the ultimate boycott because instead of going to work they're staying at home with a boy, possible laying in a cot."

Hissy?
No, more like fed up and DONE.
But your phrasing fits nicely within this particular thread.
thank the goddess that namo is here to share his findings with the board - many of whom would surely have missed the nuance of such vile anti-gay propaganda. i have started the below online petition demanding that pebho sign legislation banning the ap forever on day one of his administration.
ban the ap
Papa,
Wouldn't "horrifically hyperbolic coverage of homo hissy fit" be more appropriate?
only because you clearly hate the gay people and their cause, mb.

Wow. I signed. I guess I'm the only one who cares, because I'm the first and only signee. I hope others will too. Remember you can't spell "hate crime" withou "AP". Well, "hate" anyway.
It's not that, but my HS English teacher would be proud to see me use the word 'hyperbolic' in alliteration.
it all starts with one name, namo. you and i can make this happen. now if everyone else just cared as much as we did about the gays.

I for one find this offensive and unacceptable and will NEVER shop at the A&P again!

Almost 12 hours later and nobody else has signed! Papa, your petition is as successful as A Day Sans Gay. How can I be the only signee? Am I the only soignee man on these boards? To think I was feeling sanguine when I left the house this morning.
