Boobs, Dgrant and all - Hotlanta is beautiful today - in the 70s...but have been working my arse off. I wanted to sneak out here for a second and play with my fellow BWWers! Glad that you guys are having fun on the thread today.
Love Cher! I've seen her perform several times - and on at least 2 of her 45 "farewell" tours!

The house began to pitch. The kitchen took a slitch.
It landed on the Wicked Witch in the middle of a ditch,
...Which was not a healthy situation for the Wicked Witch.

Beav - Did you see premiere of The Color Purple with La Chanze at The Alliance in Atlanta last year??? I loved it!
It really was no miracle. What happened was just this:
The wind began to switch - the house to pitch and suddenly the hinges started to unhitch.
Just then the Witch - to satisfy an itch went flying on her broomstick, thumbing for a hitch.

Jungle - hehe
Cher - they've got property in Santa Cruz (future retirement spot) that they want to whisk us away to for an escape later in the year. I'll be getting ahold of you then to make sure we cross paths. I'm hoping they just move back to California. As Jungle might testify to, Georgia is not exactly becoming the most gay-friendly place on Earth (not that they ever were!)

From DGrant:
"But I'll guess Angela Lansbury. " (He also mentioned Lauren Bacall)
"My third and final guess will be Julie Andrews, and then I go straight to threats.
From Boobs - "Perhaps..Lauren Bacall? She seems like she'd be a Beatles fan." (Guesses also included Marie Osmond - WHY?!)
Now, before Boobs starts sending flying monkeys my way...the answer is *drumroll please*
ANGELA LANSBURY (who was very gracious and nice)
Can we go back to the fairy godfathers? Until I see "Witches of Eastwick", I'm overly confused. But that's okay.
Boys, I picked up "West Side Story" in Berkeley, so it will be watched!
And Mirrorball and AbFab were very funny - I didn't think I'd appreciate it, but I did! I'll catch you guys up more later.

Dgrant...Some say that metro Atlanta, and to a lesser extent Athens, Ga. are blueberry islands in a sea of strawberry ice cream. This area is basically fiscally conservative, but more open minded in social matters. That said... Atlanta has a very sizable gay population.
And oh what happened then was rich!

Jungle - what we hear from our friends is that Georgia state law is over-riding the progressive attempts at forward movement. They've been concerned about young people moving to Atlanta (from ALL over the south) looking for more acceptance, only to be held back by the state legislature. But I AM only hearing about this from afar, so it's hard to put it all into any real context.
Shira - I was right - you lucky girl!
Michelle - my broom was just there - I'm STILL trying to get the soot out
and Shira, my love, CATCH UP!

I've read it all - but until I see the movie (which I will rent, pronto), I'm in the dark.
But did I hear Rath was going to be a devil?
