A message from Marc Acito....

Dear Creative Vandals,

Hope you’ve had a swell summer. I’ve spent mine indoors working on the next not-so-great American novel. In a few weeks, though, I emerge like a groundhog to promote the paperback edition of HOW I PAID FOR COLLEGE.

I’m visiting the following cities and need your help in spreading the word:

Bryn Mawr, PA—September 12

New York City—September 13

Boston, MA—September 14

San Francisco—September 15

Portland, OR—September 30

P.S. Details about each of the readings are posted on Marc's Charming Website

Just bumping this thread back up to say that I haven't loved a book this much in a looooong time. Just finished this morning, and I can't stop thinking about it. I need a sequel now!

Haha, yeah my local Barnes and Noble didn't start carrying it until a few days ago, and sometimes I don't feel like ordering things online because I don't like to wait. (Even though I did end up waiting for months for it to get in stores here. Yeah, I don't know either.)

I was out buying books for school this afternoon, and I just had to buy this one, too. I haven't started it yet, but if it's half as good as you guys say it is, I think I'm in for a real treat!

I made the mistake of starting this book late last night. Then I had to stay awake and finish! When I finally looked at the clock, it said 3:00, so I had to tear myself away to get some sleep! I finished it this morning before class. re: How I Paid for College : A Novel of Sex, Theft, Friendship & Musical Th

This is definitely my new favourite book, and one I'll be buying for everybody's birthday this year! I'm sure my roommate thinks I'm crazy, since I was sitting in here laughing hysterically for a good three hours last night.

Allie....I was lucky enough to meet Marc and his partner Floyd at a book signing and bought copies for friends and had them all signed as gifts. I'm so glad that it is out in paperback now.
