I did! He's a scream. At the end of the reading he actually did a New Jersey quiz with questions like: What's the NJ state motto? Answer: Our governor is gayer than your governor.

There were about 60 people there and everyone seemed to have a good time. The line was very long to sign books so I guess he sold a lot. Let's make this book a bestseller!

Boobs and I saw him in Jersey last night. He was hilarious and very sweet. There was a big crowd that included fans, his partner and friends and family. I was thrilled to meet him. I was such a dork that I knocked my glasses off my face while we were talking. The book has been optioned for a film and 1st draft of the script is due soon. And....there is a sequel in the works!! Can't wait.

Yes...Marc and his partner Floyd were the nicest guys. Of course I had to talk about this site with them and it seems Floyd has been lurking and finds it very entertaining to read. Marc is so sincere and loves all our of posts about the book. He said it's because of people like us and word of mouth that give this book so much attention and has put it into a second printing.
I even mentioned that CKeaton is straight and a Republican and he even loved the book, they got a real chuckle from that.
Marc even signed my book...To Boobsy.
Bdwaygirl..I did tell Marc that he needs to go to other B&N's closer to you...he laughed !!!! There was a line behind us, but he didn't seem to care...he talked to us and even called Floyd over to meet us and had Floyd take a picture of Bongo and me with him. The two of them hugged us and couldn't thank us enough for coming to meet them. I told Floyd to make sure that Marc keeps writing and to hurry up with the sequel which seems to be put on the back burning while Marc writes a book about Christmas insanity. Marc talked about the idea of the book and of course it's sounds hysterical !!! This is one writer that I know will being reading every single thing he writes.
If anyone has a chance to ever meet Marc...go meet him...it will be a night you'll always smile about.

Every once and a while one of the "Play People" goes the other way. For me, it was a wife and a house in suburbia. But we ALWAYS remain Play People at heart.

Chris...of course I bragged about you in a good way...being a "moderate" GOP and all..and what a GREAT guy you are. How people love and respect you on this board. You know that you are a favorite of mine around here...I would never drag you out of the GOP closet kicking and screaming..unless we were alone..LOL !!!

Addy..the next time Marc is in the area we will definetly go again with you. As a matter of fact Bongo and me bought 4 more books for Christmas and Birthday gifts and had Marc sign them. He is so gracious...I can picture him and Floyd hanging out at "44 & X" with us and fitting right in.

K...we need to plan a Manhattan night out...being it's getting colder out there. To keep up with the book maybe we'll do Marie's Crisis, drink Manhattans and sing Broadway show tunes. I may have to invite myself to stay over that night so I don't have to drive home.

Awww. Boobs, thanks for the write-up. I really wish I could've gone there instead of where I had to go. Sounds like it was so much fun. :::sigh::: Hopefully, next time, if there's one, I can make it. Floyd, if you're reading this, there's a great B&N in Freehold and a much smaller one in East Brunswick. Maybe you can mention that to whoever it is that arranges these things for Marc!
