How much snow is on the ground in Manhattan? I'm thinking about driving in tomorrow but would want to park on the street, if there's not too much snow.
There's not too much snow.
None whatsoever (at least in my neighborhood)
Absolutely none in Hells kitchen.

It all melted before it hit the ground.
Thanks, everyone! I think I'll chance the driving. Hopefully some of the tourist traffic has died down, and I'll be able to find street parking!
The day before New Years Eve, you think the tourists have died down? Seriously?
Ha ha ha. I would use public transport.
Mike -- the tourist are just packing in for New Year's. I'd take public transport too!

I was in Manhattan on Friday and Saturday and it was packed. You could barely move. We would walk two blocks up from the TImes Square area so we could actually walk without being swarmed. I imagine it is just going to get worse as we get closer to New Year's Eve. Tourist traffic won't be dying down until mid-January.
Thanks, everyone, for the advice! I never go to NY during the holidays because the tickets are more expensive. I'm only going because I'm a Lincoln Center member so the prices are the same. It sounds like the craziness is worse than I thought. The train it is!
Take the train and avoid Times Square at all costs. Since you're going to Lincoln Center, that will be more than doable.
I love Manhattan and hope to visit again soon!
Too bad Manhattan doesn't feel the same way.
Thanks again everybody for your advice! The train was crowded but not crazy crowded. I saw Golden Boy and Vanya and Sonia, and I enjoyed both of them a great deal. (And everyone was in, and they were all very nice at the stage door.) I'm sure it was a less stressful trip than it would have been if I had tried to drive!
