Kels, I just spent this year trying to cut toxic people out of my life. One in particular, who sounds much like your friend. Although it was a bit awkward and uncomfortable doing it, I am SO glad I did. Life is too short for crazy drama queens (unless they are the fun ones).
Good luck with her!
It will be super awkward and uncomfortable, but definitely confront her. I had to confront my roommate in college when she 1)kept bringing random LOUD boys back to the room at 3am on weeknights, 2)threw up all over MY stuff (textbooks, notes, clothes, bed, etc.), and 3)was just basically a b*tch. It sucked, but was totally worth it. Not to disappoint you or anything, but we didn't work it out and she moved out of the room 2nd semester. As long as I didn't have to move my stuff then I was happy LOL
Thanks guys. Her car actually did catch on fire! yikes
All sorts of crazy!
I am gonna talk to her.... I can't deal with the drama!

"Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofu
I've been sitting here reading the last five or so pages of this thread... you gals are just the most fantastic assortment of people (and Piano too, of course!)
Kels, I have a friend just like that...only now it's gotten to the point where I don't even think of her as a friend anymore, or get any enjoyment out of her company at all. It sounds horrible, but I spend so much time with this girl trying to be nice that it's literally making me dread going to school.
Maisie knows who I'm taking about.
Yeah Kels, confrontation can be UBER awkward, at least, with me it is. I confronted my "best friend" a month ago about her basically ignoring me and lying and all this stupid **** she did and then it was really awkward so we hadn't talked for over a month... I got this sudden urge to show her a video on youtube because I knew she would be the only person I know to get it, so I showed it to her on facebook and then its like things were back to normal and I told her to forget about the past month and she was so forgiving :) It's so nice to have a friendship back, but space is a necessity sometimes

Schmerg, that sounds like hell on earth!!! Just from being on this thread for almost 3 months (can you believe it?!) you strike me as a genuinely nice young woman as it is. To already be a nice person and having to remind yourself to remain amiable toward this trollop sounds really vexing and like a burden. You're going to be a senior next year right? Use that as a stepping stone to be assertive when it comes to this annoying girl. I don't mean start a nasty rumor about her, although those can be fun, but do your best to keep her at arm's length. People often grow apart over the summer, use that time as a buffer for whatever crap she's flinging your way. By the time school starts again things might be better for you.
I remember having to cut someone from my life when I was around 16. She was a black girl named Amber and we'd been really good friends since we were in 7th grade. At the time I was making more friends from all the different cliques in school and she mainly just stuck to people like her. When I started hanging out with my "white friends", as she called them, she made comments about them that I considered to be racist and I made up in my mind that I wouldn't be able to maintain a friendship with someone who wasn't able to see past skin color. We had a monumental blow out of a fight where she called me an "Oreo Bitch", black on the outside/ white on the inside, and I haven't spoken to her since. Gosh was she a raging bitch or what?! CRAZY!!
I'm sorry, but calling someone an Oreo Bitch makes me laugh, like wtf? She is stupid, get the f' over yourself! Thats what I would have told her!
I'm with Pianolin. If someone used such a stupid insult on me, I would literally laugh in their stupid face. XD
Racism isn't exactly cool in any form. You are well rid, Tofu. (Hey, I just read an article on Stephen King's top 10 villains, and Rhoda Penmark was number 5. I lost the link though, sorry. But he got Robert Mitchum onto his list twice, which amused me also but in a different way. XD)
I am over the drama and the toxic friendships. I also leaned that I was to blame for even allowing it in my life. You know how people treat you the way you allow them too? I found that out the hard way! lol. Now, those drama queens get nowhere with me.
..of course it took me wayyyy longer than it should have. You girls already sound like you know how to deal with it!
Yet again, this post mirrors what's going on in my life.
I have a friend I've known for over twenty years. She thinks of me as a good friend but I don't feel the same. She is a complete drama queen and I am the opposite. She literally DRAINS all the energy out of me when I talk to her. Right now, she's going through a divorce and her mom just had surgery, so I felt bad and called her last night to talk. She spent the entire hour and a half talking about this new guy she's crushing on...mind you, her divorce isn't even final, she has two little kids, and her mom just had major surgery a few days ago...all I heard about what this guy and "What do you think he meant by this?" and "Every night he's on Match. com at 8:30 PM.." Yes, she's cyber stalking the guy!
And just now, I got a FB friend request from my crazy ex-roommate. This girl made my life a living hell and even threatened that I'd "be sorry" if I took my name off the gas bill when I was moving out... She is the most toxic person I've ever known.

Weez, I wish I could have laughed about it at the time but I was so pissed at everything she said about my friends that I hauled off and hit her without thinking. (That's why the fight was so monumental) Looking back her facial expression after I hit her was pretty funny. I don't know karate but I have a black belt in Ka-razy!!!
Newgirl, anyone that says sh*t like "you'll be sorry" deserves a swift kick to the baby-maker!!! Who'd you room with Joe f*ucking Pesci?!
Maisie, in high school I was the polar opposite. I always wore jeans and Chuck's or flip flops and when I'd dress up people thought I was on my way to a wedding or a funeral after school. It was like "Jeez can't I just switch it up a little every once in a while? Gosh!!"
It's nice here too! Hopefully I'll feel better later and be able to enjoy it! My mom brought me a care package though...

It's a beautiful day here in Chicago, too. We're going out to celebrate a friend's birthday tonight and I'm mostly excited about wearing open toed shoes.
Good morning! It's raining craploads in Texas.
well, good afternoon now to yall!
Sorry its raining 25th!
Its GORGEOUS here in VA. LOVE it! Although, I must remain indoors and clean my room :/ But once school is out in LESS THAN TWO WEEKS!! WOO! I am going to ask my neighbors if I can lounge by their pool/read a book/tan (which I am sure I will be able to because they are awesome)
Have a wonderful day!
Last day in Florida. We had 13 straight days of no rain! Oh well, back to reality...
The weather is FANTASTIC! Which means, of course, that I'm cooped up inside with allergies...
Aww Schmergy! Allergies suck!
I was in Philly all day visiting friends and enjoying the AMAZING weather! Now I'm getting ready to go out with a few friends. Have a nice night ladies!
Schmerg, I feel your pain. I used to have the worst allergies...they're taking a long time to start up this year though, which is actually freaking me out.
Sounds fun, bb! Have a good time tonight!
It's gorgeous here too, but I spent most of the day getting my hair did and shopping. I took the plunge and got bangs! I've had the side-swept thing going on for a while, but I wanted the full-on thing. Last time I had them was when I was a tiny, blonde toddler jag. They're taking a little getting used to, but I dig them so far.
I just got back from that showcase I mentioned.... wow, wow, wow! It was amazing x 10000!!! Firstly, they preview their upcoming shows at the showcase and my best friends younger bro is Seymour in Little Shop this summer... he is beyond amazing and the dude who is playing AUdrey II has a CRAZY voice! The other show they preview was footloose, and the Ren and Ariel kick ass! Secondly, they did Time Warp, Die Vampire Die and If I told You from The Wedding Singer, which makes me happy.... and Thirdly they have the most amazing choreographer and he came up to me after the show and told me that he loved my choreography for Grease! It was a great night!
