What's with all the doctor's appointments today?
Good luck, Masie!
I hope you feel better Miss P!
Oh I had my first visit to the lady doctor not too long ago. It wasn't so bad and it goes by pretty quickly. =]
I'd rather have a pap than a mammogram any day.
Im sending all you some good energy! Now go to your happy place.
In meditation classes my happy place was always Disneyland.
I haven't gotten a mammogram yet, but I've heard they're really uncomfortable
Yeah, they have gotten better over the years, but it's certainly not fun. But they are super important!
BB- Haha...it's fine. That was an expensive parking night :)
Miss P- I hope you're feeling better
Stockard- Ouch! Not looking forward to mammograms.
Maisie- Oh just another part of being a woman that is not so exciting. But it's not too bad...don't worry :)
So Henry's bus was a half hour late. I'm freaking FREEZING.

It's cold here but not windy. Low 30's to mid 40's F. Overcast. A bland day. Not planning to see a doctor until next month for a routine exam. I'm going to walk my dog at the beach when I feel like going out in the weather. Woke up to frost all over everything, but it's gone now. Not much to report from me. Probably the blandest post on this thread. Now for coffee....
Mmm coffee :) Great, now I'm craving wine AND coffee!
Actually, mammograms are less painful if you have big boobs. (Seriously.)
Girls, my mother died of breast cancer, so my attitude about mammograms is "Bring 'em on!" We are fortunate to live in a time when technology can help us to live longer, healthier lives. Mammograms are your friends. Remember that. A little boob-squeezing is NOTHING compared to the agony you might experience without it.
Thank you all for your good wishes.
I took a pain pill and a nap. I feel much, much better now. Off to get my hair cut. Then I have TONS of packing to do. See you later.
(BB, is that you?)
Miss P, yep that's me!
Pretty picture!
And Miss P, my mom had breast cancer too, so I'm very diligent about getting them.

Miss P & Stockard, I'm really sorry about your mothers
My great grandmother had breast cancer and I never got to meet her. But my family assures me that I would have loved her to pieces.
Tofu, my mom had a masectomy and reconstructive surgery so she's all good now, but thank you!
I just noticed that Miss P's post said her mom died....Miss P, I'm so sorry to hear that.
I'm sorry you never got to meet your gr. grandma, tofu.
Boy this thread has gotten depressing. Can someone say something funny?
My mother's life was anything but depressing, Stockard, so don't be blue. She was a FABULOUS human being. I was lucky to have her as my mom, no matter how long or short it was!
Here's one of my all-time favorite pictures of her (taken years before I was born, BTW):
I think ultrasounds should be the norm instead of mammograms.
Miss Pennywise, I love pics of your mom. She had soul, I'll bet.
Thank you, nyg!
While we're on the subject of pictures, BB, you're gorgeous!
Stockard, glad to hear your mom is a survivor! Good for her! (and you)
Miss P, she was beautiful! As are you, my friend!
Miss P, your mom was stunning! Absolutely beautiful.
