jag, that story sickens me. that wasnt a man. That was a dirtbag. No self respecting man would have done that to a girl. Im sorry she had to go through that. Ugh, Im so mad. That just turns my stomach.

But I do carry a small .38 special and I'm not afraid to use it.
F*ck yeah Krissy!!! All I can say is if I ever come out to the Pacific North West I'm hanging with you!
Nothing even close to what you guys have gone through has happened to me. But in high school I did get cornered in my journalism class after school when everyone left. I was finishing an article when this douche quietly closed the door behind him, pinned me to the wall and proceeded to stick his tongue down my throat. I pushed him away, grabbed my sh*t and went to a friend's house. Unfortunately it was my first kiss and was pretty much disgusting. His tongue tasted like chlorine water in a public pool...GROSS!!! My best guy/gay friend said that that must have been the day I "turned" gay. I don't know if that was the catalyst but it certainly didn't help.
Eurgh, Tofu! That sounds disgusting.
I haven't actually had my first kiss yet, but if it's anything like that, I will be SO mad. Tonguerape is no fun at all.
tofu and Krissy...those stories are horrific. Men can suck so much.
Maisie, I hope everything's OK...feel free to vent here if you want. Lord knows I have!
JAG, if you find the guy who did that to your friend let me know and I send my 6foot 2 ex-football playing boyfriend his way with a baseball bat!
Men can be such pigs.... I was surrounded by a whole group of guys in the cafe my freshman year of high school. They seriously formed a circle around me at the snack machine and tried to grab me. It was horrible.

JAG, I can't believe that about your friend. What a jerk, I hope karma bites him in the ass.
Tofu, that sounds horrible! I'd probably swear off guys after that too lol!
Schmerg, don't worry about your first kiss it'll happen soon. Hopefully it'll be something memorable with someone special. =] I was lucky in that sense.

Haha, to be honest, the reason why I haven't had a first kiss yet is that I'm picky about boys. I've... actually turned down everyone who's asked me out so far. Not to sound like the world's biggest bi-otch or anything, but I've liked the same guy for about three years and I just want to remain friends with him, and I don't really feel attracted to anyone else.
I don't think there's anything wrong with turning down guys you're not interested in. It makes sense that you don't want to really waste your time with a guy you don't want to be with. I've only been asked out by 1 guy and I was crazy about him, and he was my boyfriend for 3 years lol.
Do you want to date your friend, Schmerg? Or would you rather be his friend?
I'd definitely rather be his friend. I like him a lot, but I just don't think it'd work if we dated. I don't think I'm mature (or selfless) enough for a real 'boyfriend' anyway-- at least not a lasting relationship, and I think if I dated this dude and broke up, we would never be such good friends again. I'm pretty sure the guy feels the same way I do-- I mean, I've gone to Homecoming at his school for the last couple years, and I hang out with him one-on-one on "not-a-date"s all the time, but I don't think he'd like the idea of officially dating me, either.
Either six or seven guys have asked me out (depending on whether you count the guy who kept hinting that he'd LIKE to go out with me but never officially asked), and most of them I DO like, but as friends. I've seen too many girls go out with guys they only like as friends, and it's not that often that it's successful. I don't think most of them really liked me either-- I think they were just desperate for a girlfriend and were dumb enough to think I was desperate, too! ^_^
Haha, that makes sense Schmergie! It sounds like maintaining a friendship is too important to risk so that's very smart of you. Don't worry, I think some guy will ask you out one of these days that will definitely be worth dating. =] It's also good that you're not desperate, you seem very content.
Schmerg, I didn't know that about their performing arts department. And if you can stay away from that scene (because it's not your thing anyway - good girl!) then I'm sure you'd do well there.
Back to the first kisses. My first french kiss was at the end of the 8th grade after our Courtyard Show. After the cast party, my friend Beth's dad picked a bunch of us up that lived in the same neighborhood to drive us back, and I had to sit on this kid Jonny's lap in the back seat. He totally stuck his tongue down my throat and it was disgusting. I'm lucky I ever kissed a guy again.
Ew, Stockard!
Whenever I think of first kisses, I think of my sister running home yelling, "I HAVE TO BREAK UP WITH [her boyfriend's name]. HE TRIED TO *KISS* ME!"
She's still too afraid to break up with him because she doesn't want to be 'mean' (she said yes only after the second time he asked her out!), but she just explained politely to him that she doesn't like physical contact. They've been together for months. She's just waiting for him to break up with her, but it's not happening.
Hm, I think I told this story before, actually...sorry...
Haha it's okay Schmergie!
I was 14 when I had my first kiss. It was Christmastime at Six Flags, we were sitting on a bench right before the park was closing. It was so pretty outside because all of the Christmas lights were on in the park and they had pretty music playing. it was very very lovely. =]
Aw, man. Mine was during a summer party in seventh grade. We were starting to play Spin the Bottle when the guy next to me asked me if I wanted to go play 7 Minutes in Heaven in the bathroom instead. He was this shaggy stoner who also got me drunk for the first time that night. I was in LOVE. He got expelled for smoking pot in the parking lot the next year (not very smart). Not very romantic, but debaucherous and fun!
Mine was when I was 17 after a rehearsal for Tartuffe!

Haha JAG that does sound fun!

First French kiss? I believe I was the one who initiated it :)
Nevertheless, watch the person they cast you with:
Doctor Zhivago - from IMDb :
"When Rod Steiger kisses Julie Christie for the first time, her struggling and surprise is genuine because Steiger deliberately French kissed her, sticking his tongue into her mouth." Yeech!
Also
"In the scene where Julie Christie slaps Rod Steiger, Steiger slaps her back. Steiger slapping her back was not in the script or discussed during filming, Steiger did it only during filming and the stunned reaction of Christie was genuine."
Tofu- What my friends and I went through is totally not anything compared to what you other girls have mentioned. So scary and sad that those things happen.
I was 15 when I got my first kiss. It was a sloppy french kiss, but I had liked the guy for so long, so I didn't mind the sloppiness all that much. I didn't really have anything to compare it to. The weird thing is that we ended up kissing again, six years later to the day...and almost the hour. Weird right?

Stockard that sucks infinite ass!!! What is it with some guys thinking they can just take liberties like that?!
While my first kiss was pretty horrible I did what any self respecting 16 year old girl would do...called him a d*ck in front of everyone in the cafeteria and mercilessly heckled him with my group of friends about his "asshole-ness" until we graduated. Looking back it was a petty defense mechanism but it worked. He never bothered me again.
And JAG, I almost guarantee if we'd gone to school together you'd have gotten me into sooooo much trouble!!! I'd like to think that I had strong convictions back then, but something tells me that if we hung out, they'd have been out the window in a heart beat!!LOL!!
You kind of remind me of a really good friend from H.S. She was the first to teach me how to shotgun at a party and use the side door of the school undetected to get to the student parking lot to cut class. Ah those were the days...*sigh*
***Now Maisie & Schmerg, I emphatically implore you to disregard that last bit. I am in no way condoning or encouraging such behavior. Just wait until college to engage in questionable if not greatly entertaining conduct. Or Stockard will put you over her knee!!
