re: I Enjoy Being a Girl Vol 2!

Howdy, y'all! Erm, quick replies to everything I've missed...

- DO NOT DOWNLOAD SNOOD. IT IS TOO ADDICTIVE FOR WORDS.
- Kels, come and live with me! Bring your wardrobe and your awesomeness!
- I totally ROCK rich text. Will this work? It's good fun. :)
- Tofu and Schmerg; let me know when you're on Facebook. We'll be friends, and you can be officially invited to the IEBAG 2010 meet-up!
- Maisie, congrats and OMG beautiful!

... how long is it since I've been here, and what the hell have I been doing? All I remember is endless episodes of Rescue Me, which I am LOVING. Don't know if anyone else watches it? Danmag should at least, Dean Winters is in it, looking SUPER hot. The rest of you should as well; Mr Laura Benanti is a major character, and Idina Menzel turns up as a Bad Kisser in one episode. XD

I voted for European Parliament and local council this evening! I'm a good girl, trying to make a difference in whatever little way I can. re: I Enjoy Being a Girl Vol 2! I now need to do some blog entries, but am continuing to procrastinate like the lazy bizznatch I am. This is getting silly! O_O

No, seriously, where HAVE I been? D:

re: I Enjoy Being a Girl Vol 2!

Will the chaos never end? Tonight is the Drama Awards. I was informed yesterday that I will be presenting Fastest Off-Book and Best Cover During a Show. I'm nominated for Most Improved and Best Supporting Actress and in running for Outstanding Sophomore. I'm now also announcing one of the performances due to a person dropping out. Ah! I'm so excited! This madness!
"You have two kinds of shows on Broadway – revivals and the same kind of musicals over and over again, all spectacles. You get your tickets for The Lion King a year in advance, and essentially a family... pass on to their children the idea that that's what the theater is – a spectacular musical you see once a year, a stage version of a movie. It has nothing to do with theater at all. It has to do with seeing what is familiar.... I don't think the theatre will die per se, but it's never going to be what it was.... It's a tourist attraction." Stephen Sondheim

re: I Enjoy Being a Girl Vol 2!

Yay, Jewelry! I walked into work and we had gotten shipments from both of my fave jewelry designers... if I make it though the week without buying these earrings it will be a miracle (damn you 20% discount)!

I have a meeting with social services for emergency assistance tomorrow.... if they can't help me then my mom says she will find a way re: I Enjoy Being a Girl Vol 2!
I just found out that one of my friends is starting a Glee Clue at the local high school and she wants me to help! She is also going to school in NYC in the spring, which is when I'll be going if I get in to AMDA!!

haha, my itunes is on shuffle but it seems to be a fan of Amy Spanger because it just played Tick, Tick,,, Boom, Wedding Singer, Reefer Madness, and Rock of Ages! I'll laugh if it played one of her songs from Kiss Me Kate next :-p

re: I Enjoy Being a Girl Vol 2!

SO! Have I a story for you all!
I just got back form the Drama Awards and I have battle scars. Kind of. It was just a battle between gravity and me.
My first presentation goes smoothly.
I did not win Most Improved. I did not win Outstanding Sophomore.
However, when the two presenters went up to announce Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress, the first announcer didn't speak clearly, and the winner of best supporting actor's last name sounds like my name. And he wasn't there this evening. So my friends misheard and said to me "THAT'S YOU! GO!" so I run up on stage, the presenters give me an odd look. The other goes "Ahem. So now Best Supporting Actress..." Aw damn. I have made a huge fool out of myself. So I play the fool. I comically sit on the apron of the stage and rest my chin on my hand as if I'm waiting for my name. The audience laughs. The presenters give me the strangest look. So I jump off the stage, and fall forward on the ground, so I land lying down with my ankles crossed and my head on propped up on my hand. The audience dies.

"And Best Supporting Actress goes to...Claire-"

I get up off the floor and strut on stage, take my plaque, and slowly walk off stage holding my plaque in a pompous manner. And the audience goes wild.

So I also annouce the last performance. I stroll on the stage, and the audience starts to chuckle. I acknowledge it with a quick head nod and eyebrow raise. The crowd applauds. Then I continue as normal.

I always say that if you're going down, go down hard and make a good story out of it for later. And I must say, I put on quite the show tonight.

re: I Enjoy Being a Girl Vol 2!

So, I spent 2+ hours at social services and it looks like they are going to pay 6 months of my back rent!!
Thank god..
I got a huge lecture (about everything) from my mother like I didn't already know that I had screwed up. *sigh* I hate when your parents act like you are stupid. I kinda wanted to tell her that if she saw this coming so clearly then maybe she should have helped me out a bit! I mean, seriously, most kids don't become completely independent at age 18. And apparently I am the problem child now.... even though my brother broke both his phone and his skateboard this week. Whatever, NYC is calling my name more then ever.... hopefully come spring semester I will be OUT of this town!

re: I Enjoy Being a Girl Vol 2!

hope you get in to AMDA Kels! Sounds like you really need/should get outta there.

Congrats Maisie!

Ok, Today, I baked FROM SCRATCH (This is a first for me) a batch of sugar cookies and I'm getting ready to go take them to my brothers gf who is in the hospital. She was worried about this spot on her, so they thought it might be merca, so they gave her a BUNCH of this antibiotic there and then she developed a huge rash, so I decided to make her cookies :) so as soon as my brother calls, we are heading over!

re: I Enjoy Being a Girl Vol 2!

Agh, it's been forever! But Claire, that story is the most amazing thing ever. That must have been hideously embarrassing, but you got an award out of it, so it's all good!

I'm about to go retake my SATs.... MMMBLAHRGH.

Oh, Maisie! How weird is it to be a high school graduate? I know you will be a smashing success out in the real world!
