Yeah I haven't watched the movie yet, because I didn't want to be influenced when I was deciding on costumes. But I can't wait to see it now. One of our reviews said that our show is too serious and not funny enough. I do sort of agree, but just because Rudnick wrote it as a screwball comedy doesn't mean that we can't interpret it differently. The gay pride scene is HILARIOUS! The guys who play Sterling (Patrick Stewart's character) and his boyfriend are ridiculously funny. Very Karen and Jack. The Sterling character deadpans so well, it's scary. He's like that in real life, too. Sometimes all he does is shoot someone a look and you lose it. :)
Yeah you can see some of the debaucherous pics on facebook...actually they're pretty tame for now. Haha...and there aren't any pics of the guys in the assless chaps yet, but I can tell you they look DAMN good!
I can't wait to see your promotional video BB!! :)
My gay crush from Falsettos is Jeffrey. (He's much cuter in real life...probably cause he's so cuddley.) Here's something interesting. Wasn't sure if I was gonna mention it or not, but my show crush for this show was....a chick. Wait, what? Yeah. But she just moved across the country so it doesn't matter much.

Bwahahahaha!!!! And this is how it starts. A little friendly adoration for another woman you work with, and BAM!!! Next thing you know you wanna see her topless. The occasional "Lady Crush" can be fun.
Now I'm gonna be all pervy and ask: "Was she hot?"
tofu, of course she must have been hot!
So I just finished reading The Starter Wife.
So cute.
Darius Rucker (Hootie, of the Blowfish variety) came into work tonight. First of all, why is he in Detroit? Second of all...WTF? He was very nice though.

OMG Hootie!!! Back in '96 if you'd have told me that Hootie and the Blowfish were crap, I would have f*cked your sh*t up!!! I thought they were great. Then I wised up and that pesky gay thing crept up and now I'm like "Hootie who?".
I used to love the guy in the back with the long hair...obviously because he was the most femme. So sad.
tofu, my dad loved them, so I was afraid to admit that I found "Hold My Hand" absolutely delightful because I thought I'd sound uncool. In fact, I still am a little afraid to admit that. But goddamn, I love that song. And "I Go Blind." That's a cover, though, so I don't feel SO bad. Everyone's a closet Hootie fan.
ETA: He used an American Express Centurion Card...to get one, you have to be "invited" and pay $5,000 up front. You also have to spend 1/4 million each year to keep it. They're made out of titanium, not plastic. Guess the 90's alt-rock scene got you PAID!

Well, they sure as hell aren't inviting me to that little exclusive cardholder's club. 5 G's up front and a quarter million a year?! They better be giving a top-notch rewards plan!! Something like 500 concubines, a golden palace, a gyno without FREEZING COLD HANDS!!!, and a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. I only said that last one cuz I've been craving chocolate like a crazed PMS driven whore!!!
Isn't that the one Danielle on Real Housewives said she was the first on in NJ to get one?
Anyway, something funny about the Starter Wife. Debra Messing played the main character in the miniseries. Her character's name was Gracie. And she has a gay best friend named Will.
Will and Grace. Will and Gracie.
I adore Debra Messing. It would have been the perfect day to call in "sick" and watch endless reruns of Will and Grace.
Wait, I didn't know jag was in Detroit?
But yeah, I like Debra Messing a lot as well!

God she's beautiful.
Did she get a boob job? Or is that just from having a kid?
Yeah she got one. That makes me sad.
JAG, I just saw on a poster that Darius Rucker is on tour with someone...Rascall Flatts, maybe? I don't know their music but maybe they are in town, too, and that's why Hootie...er...Darius is in town.
If they did a movie about Lucille Ball, she should play her. She's funny and they have very similar features.
She would be perfect, you're right!
So true clever!
Wow, they really do look alike!
Now I'm gonna be all pervy and ask: "Was she hot?"
Yes. Well...she's very tomboyish. I'm not sure if I'd call her butch, just because I associate butch with a certain image. But I think she's pretty.
On opening night of the show (which was her last day with us before she moved), I came in and she was wearing makeup and lipstick and I was like whaaaa? I told her she looked pretty. She said, "Thanks, but you missed it."
Me: "Missed what?"
Her: "The dress."
Me: "The whaaa? You wore a dress? Why?"
Her: "Yeah, I do actually look like a girl sometimes. And cause it's opening night."
The guys were like "Dude...you should have seen it. That dress was sexy and she was stripping in the middle of the green room when she put on her work clothes."
Me: "DAMN IT! I miss everything! You're wearing it to the party right?"
She did...holy sh*t...it was a hot dress. And I came back in the room after I went out to say hi to people after the show and she was half dressed and putting the dress on and I was like "Gahhh whaaaa...uhhh....so that's the dress huh?"
Her: "Yeah you wanna zip me?"
Me: "Ajfjadf;oiwmne;akfwleuwai;t.....ooookay." Yeah and then I turned into Butterfingers McGee and couldn't get it done...cause I'm an awkward freak.
There will be pics of me and her, in the dress, on my facebook someday (whenever the person who took them uploads them).
Tofu...seriously...you need to get on facebook! :)
Haha...oh look...I finally figure out how to do italics and the whole freakin' message shows up that way...woops.
Really, Tofu. It's time to take the Facebook plunge. I think you and Schmerg are the only hold-outs in this thread.
Funny!
And how DO you do italics here?
I got this from the FAQ section:
8. <- See that? See how it's bold? Make it bold by inserting text in between < b> and < /b >, without the spaces.
So...bold would look like this
< b >bold< /b > WITHOUT THE SPACES.
Italics, would be < i > < /i >
Underline, would be < u > < /u >
You can also combine the tags, like so
Hello. would look like
< b >< i >< u >Hello.< /b >< /i >< /u >
